My friend (noob modder), singled his first longshot with my help a while back. Anyways, he lost his trigger catch and I can't find any replacement parts anywhere. He doesn't want to buy a OMW kit or a new longshot. Is there anyway I can make him a new one? Maybe craft something out of a night finder catch or something like that? I don't really want to buy any special material for this, but maybe I could make one out of household items or typical modding supplies?

Do you know anyone that has a longshot? Maybe you could borrow his/her parts and do this with it. If not then you could always buy one from someone here on NH. There are always a lot of people willing to sell stuff.

EDIT:
I misunderstood the question.
Anyway, this is probably your best bet.

Yeah, it is cool. The thing is that the putty has a set time of three minutes. You need to mix and get the piece into the mold before that time. Trust me, three minutes is very little for this application. It is not easy, but it is very doable.

Mully, you are misunderstanding. I think that when he means "trigger catch", albeit, it is not very easy to understand, I think he means the catch, NOT the catch spring. Can the OP (original poster) please specify what he means? Thanks.
And can someone please show me how to put multiple quotes in a single post? It would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, the plastic square part with the tiny catch spring on it. Not the spring itself.

You can make your own catch out of polycarbonate. There was a thread a long time ago about it, but I was unable to find it. It had diagrams for the catch and it's dimensions.

If he is asking if it is possible to repurpose a nite finder catch to a longshot I don't think he has the experience or the tools to make a ls catch out of polycarb. (no offense) but maybe he could commision it from someone.

You Hit the maltiquote button next to the reply button then when you have all the posts you want to quote selected you hit the rely that normally wouldn't quote anyone.
