So the other day, I was working on my defunct at2k, and I finally got fed up with it, and decided, I'm gonna seal it up and if it Doesn't Work, then I'm gonna screw it and wait for another gun. (the problem was that I had to make a home-made check valve for it, using cpvc, old nitefinder parts, etc.) I basically destroyed it, and all my homemade parts went flying, and half of them broken.

To console myself, I wanted to hear about other people's horrible accidents. Such as the famous maxshot asplode incident (I laughed crazy hard when I saw the pic for the first time).

I ended up sticking a pin valve in the pump tube of a Splitfire, which could accept 12 gram Co2 cartriges. For some reason, I wasn't thinking of how all the pressure from the 12 gram would be stored in the Splitfire's tank, with only a small plastic release...needless to say, the thing ended up shotgunning inards across the room, rendering the SF useless, and I wasted a 12 gram. Stock Class paintballers would kill me if they found out.

EDIT: If you think a Max Shot exploding is funny, I dropped mine out of a truck. And it broke. And I had a Tech Target that was ran over by and ATV.

Hm... Well, on my Lanard blast bazooka, I opened up the chmaber to seal the overpressure release valve- this was moreover before I found this site, or at least before I got in-depth. I saw this rubber thing and tore it out- only afterwards did I realize it was the check valve... Yeah, that thing is dead. Also, I completely cut-up my rototrack for spare parts, and afterwards I found Vasilli's mod on it. Unfortunatley, the gun is so mutiliated it won't work again. Ever. Lastly, my arrowstorm, oh my sweet arrowstorm.. I think many essential parts got vacumned up when I was taking it apart in my room and my dad did the vacumn... That thing's dead too.

Fuck ups, eh? Pull up a chair.

My first fuck-up was with my prized ArrowStorm. I was 6. I had no idea that one day this thing would be worth so much, and be important to me. I was playing with it and all of a sudden it stopped cocking. My dad said he would try to fix it, and he took it away. Three years later, I return to the work bench, and there it is... completely un-touched. I decided to try my hand at repair.

If you can't conclude this story, I'll tell you that the spring definatly didn't fit where I put it. Explosions are funny.

Next, the Rachet Blast. God did I love that thing. I still have the shell... but that's beyond the point. I tried a simple mod, PVC barrel replacement. It was my first mod attempt ever, and I didn't know what I was doing. This was last year. I take it apart, and I also took the handle apart which is what fucked me over. I lost a spring, the sight spring. I found it later on and continued my mod, however, the nerf gods decided to smite me again. I put the gun back together, and snap, the yellow(sometimes green) locking piece snaps inhalf inside, and the gun is useless.

My most recent fuck up was my Roto-Track. Again, my own mod. Let's just say it's spare parts... oh, and it's heart (spring) resides, stretched, in my' friend's Ln'L. My RB spring got it's second life in my Ln'L, and it's working wonderfully.

So instead of a 7 gun arsenal, which would be comprised of all very formidable guns, I now have to live with 4. Oh well... I learned my lessons, and now my modding skills are amazing if I do say so myself, and my guns work wonderfully.

Okay, you guys made me think about murdering those poor helpless guns... thanks for that.

Let's see, two come right from the top of my head:

One was during my very own hosted VANO, I'm backing up from an attacker, and there's a big ol' hunk of rock jutting out of the ground (the area's kinda rocky). I didn't realize it was there, tripped, and fell right back on my bum, really hard. Very embarrassing, kinda hurt, but hilarious looking probably.

Next was during dart making. Using a hot glue gun, (not a low-temp glue gun, a real hot glue gun) my pinky finger accidentally touched a dab of hot glue. Immediately when I tried wiping it off I didn't even notice through all the pain that the first layer of skin on my pinky came right off with it, in about a.... 6mm diameter? The pinky felt REALLY weird after that incident.

Fun times indeed..

Aye... the hot glue senario. How many a time has that happened to people?

I'm just happy I play guitar, the callouses really help with the whole burning process. They buy me about 7 seconds or more for me to realize I have just glued myself... to myself... using liquid rubber.

And I use a HOT glue gun too. I love how my fingers always find a way to touch the newly melted glue, or the nice burning metal tip that is the glue gun's nozzel. I do try... but you know how it goes.

Throught my childhood, I went through around 3or 4 BnAs and 4or5 Xbows, Yah, beat that.

I blew the valve on a smle1000. No matter how many times I try, I still cant fix it.

I got my SSS run over. Still want a new one.

I killed my ssII. Multiple times. I'm on SSII number 4.

Blew valves on 4 AT2Ks and a 1500.

Lost a LnL in the woods during a war.

Broke a Tornado in attemp to make it shoot darts.

Broken a hot glue gun after getting foam stuck inside it.

Blown up a stinger.

I think that just about wraps up this week.

Well, I only had two mishaps before 'Geddon. Now I have five.

1.) I overpumped my SM1500. First mod. I used 2 whole fucking glue sticks to try to get the vinyl tubing to be reattached to the pump shaft.

2.) My cousin's were over, and I was showing them how to make darts. I dripped a ton of it on my thumb. Two ice cubes later, It was still red, big, hot, and hurting.

3.) As I was walking toward the other team's flag in CTF, I got stung by something. Hell, I'm SILL limping 'cause it hurts so much.

4.) The surgical tubing on my LOTRXbow rips in half. 'Nuff said.

5.) I rammed a dart too far into my 750, and it pushed so hard against the valve it kept it open. I couldn't pump it to get it out, and some hot glue keeping the barrel on had kept the dart from coming back out. I had to rip all the tape and barrel off.

I was trying to figure out whether to put longer barrels on my at2k, and I decided to feel for wasted air with my arm.

I pumped it ten times.

Held it six inches from my arm

I didn't know it was loaded

 OUCH!!!!!!!

I guess the barrels were long enough.

The three great mighty fuck ups that I will never forget:

1. I plugged the over pressure release vale on my Blastfire. It's the kind where you are NOT supposed to do that. $35 down the tube in witha single dab of hot glue. That one still hurts. (sniff sniff)

2. I got a second degree burn from touching hot glue. Nothing really special there, aside from the fact that I decided to let the glue dry before I pulled it off.

3. Another second degree burn, like a month after the first. My om had me put backing soda on it. THIS IS A BAD IDEA. IT BURNS LIKE A MOTHER! I then couldn't stop picking at the burn to let the juice out of it, and it wound up getting infected. Did I see a doctor? Hell no, I knew it was infected because the skin around the burn was orange. I just ripped the orange skin off my finger and it healed in a week.

Those are my horror stories

I accidentally got some hotglue too deep into my AT2k when I was replacing the barrels. I had to go in and scoop it out with my fingertip to prevent it from ruining the gun. I had nothing else nearby that would've worked. I had touched hotglue before, but disregarded what forming a fingerglove around my index finger would do. It made a warm little mitten. I saved the gun at least. I also resultantly use plumber's goop and epoxy for almost all of my adhesions and seals now.

Oh the mighty fuck-ups of Nerf. Where do I begin...

Probably the most memorable incident was trying to very awkwardly single-barrel mod a Rattler. The vital mistake was taking out the brake for the plunger. Not knowing this at the time, I continued to goop the barrel straight on to the plunger shaft. A day goes by while I wait for the goop to dry, and I pick it up 24 hrs later and stick a dart in it. This is the wierd part. The dart miserably falls about 2 inches. The barrel is 6 inches long. How? The barrel flew down the hallway and left a nice dent in the centre of my dad's bedroom door, the plunger shaft close behind it.

And as for hot glue incidents, I haven't had many. The wierdest one probably didn't involve the glue though. I was putting holes in the darts with my little shit glue gun, and I decide after 50 darts it might be a nice time to take all the melted foam off the tip. With my finger. So now I have a bunch of melted burning hot foam on my right index finger, so I decide to try and take it off with my left index finger. At this point my finger are now foamed together. I thankfully didn't sacrifice any other body parts trying to get it off and just waited it out.

Fuck-ups you want? Fuck-ups you get. Go look for The Thing That Should Not Be threads. Cool looking? Sure. Effective? Hell no. The cannibalized BlastFire shoots all of 10 feet out of horribly crooked barrels, and the Whiptail Scorpion shoots 1-50 feet, depending on how it feels.

That's all my major fuck-ups I think. If I remember any more, I'll be sure to add em.

Here's a real winner for you, its the story of how fast reflexes got me hurt. So I was working in the workshop on my ratchetblast, which is now a horrible piece of junk but anyways. I was trying to open something I think and I knocked my xacto knife off the table. Well faster then I could think how dumb an Idea it was, my hand goes after the falling knife. I caught it, in my finger. Ouch!

God, I hated that.

I was holding the bottle we were using for our mini combustion cannon while he was cutting it. A moment later, slip goes the sharp saw, and my fingertip gets shredded. Ouch.

Oh well.

Anyways, if you think that's a accident, you guys should try getting your middle finger halfway cut off by a Dosuki blade. It's a saw that cuts on the pull, not the push. It took a few tries to get used to it, and the last thing I needed was for it to get caught in a knot in the cedar. Needless to say, I was young and naive, and I pulled as hard as I could while keeping the wood steady.

A blood stained canoe for everyone! And whats sad is that it wasn't the last time that fucking canoe took my blood... bloody disc sander.

Not to do with Nerf but yeah. Saws.
