No. The post that the catch spring rests "around" is too fat for a clicky pen's spring to fit on.Evilbunnyo is right, but if you are using the stock spring you can also take the spring from a "clicky," pen.

Most times yes, but sometimes I also take a pair of needle nose pliers, grab each end of the spring, and twist them in opposite directions to expand the spring, and it works fine.

It's not a cross post, like on NF catches, it's a round peg.You could also shave the edges off the post a little bit with an xacto knife.
