i got in a firefly from ebay a couple months ago and opened up to paint it and the catch spring fell out so now i have a firefly with no catch spring and i can't find a replacement i kept looking in side the home depot assorted springs pack but couldn't find any. does anyone now any where i can find a replacement of the same size

I have never had a firefly so I can't be sure of it size but check ace. They have a lot of small compression springs. You won't find one the right length you'll have to cut it.

Evilbunnyo is right, but if you are using the stock spring you can also take the spring from a "clicky," pen.

No. The post that the catch spring rests "around" is too fat for a clicky pen's spring to fit on.

Most times yes, but sometimes I also take a pair of needle nose pliers, grab each end of the spring, and twist them in opposite directions to expand the spring, and it works fine.

You could also shave the edges off the post a little bit with an xacto knife.

It's not a cross post, like on NF catches, it's a round peg.

It's still easy to do. just use a clicky pen spring and stretch it a bit. It'll keep the spring in place to you don't lose it again.
