I've noticed since the switch to the new servers, that my personal pic is not saving properly. It was gone after the migration, and switched it out, and it stayed for about a day or two, then it was gone again, and now it won't take it anymore.

I have too. I just re-uploaded the pic and it stayed. I have also noticed significantly lower load times since the server change.

Profile photos should be working fine now. We're looking into the issues with pages loading more slowly. I've turned caching back on, which should help.

Langley, I have had the most problems on searches taking forever to load. Also I have been wanting to ask you this for a long time. Why can't you delete necro posts and have total control of the forums? Our maybe stop a topic from being moved up the list?

I've turned caching back on, which should help.

That appears to have ended most of the slow loading for me, most actions now take about the same amount of time as before.

@quertyman: I don't know if you were aware of Google's site search. It's come up now and again, but you can perform searches much faster with Google than with NH's site search.

Anyway, hope that helps if you haven't tried that already.

Incidentally, if you added a new profile photo any time within the last several months, it was probably lost in the server migration. You should be able to re-upload it and it will stick around indefinitely.

Because, unlike some sites, we don't employ secret police to go around making posts of dissent disappear. If you fuck up, everyone gets to see how much of a fuck-up you are, and hopefully someone somewhere learns something from that. Pretty much the only time I delete a post is if there's an obvious accidental double post.
