I'm modding a 4B for my clan's use and I'm having trouble getting it to fire only one dart out of the hopper. The first barrel I put on it was 14" cpvc and since it didn't work I figured that it has so much excess air that it was scooping up another dart because the barrel was too short. After that I bumped it all the way up to 22" cpvc barrel and it's still a problem except now instead of shooting doubles it's shooting doubles and triples. Has anyone else had this problem and can help?

I'm going to bludgeon the smaller parts with the larger parts till I have plastic shards which I will melt into foregrips for blasters that WORK! - SonReeceSonJensen

Can you share a piccy or drawing of your hopper construction, illustrating what is happening inside the hopper where the darts feed.

Definitely sounds like the length of your darts. I use airguns almost exclusively, and my stefans are never shorter than 1 1/4 inches. Anything less will probably cause doublefeeds.

Thanks Gears that seemed to be a problem, my darts are pretty short. However I just figured out a solution and added a few inches of 1/2" pvc before the hopper to slow down the air expansion before it gets to the dart.
Thanks for the feedback guys!

I know that you said you fixed it but I have a big blast and when I use a brithopp I dont get double feeds when I compare with a traditional hopper.
I have identified the problem: "maverick" -Daniel Beaver
