Hey everyone, I'm planning another Bay Area nerf war, sometime in mid to late November, and I'd need to know what weekends work best for everyone. (Yes, weather is a factor, so we'll re-schedule if the day we pick gets rained out.)
This war will also be sort of a "debut" for the new Norcal nerfing group, B.A.N.A.N.A, Bay Area North American Nerf Alliance. It's my attempt at helping share and promote all the various nerf and HVZ events around here so we can get more people to show up, and create a tighter community. What does that mean exactly? Not a whole lot, but for people that attend I'm going to set aside a bit of time to talk about it, and shoot ideas back and forth.
Location: William Cann Neighborhood park, Union City CA
DATE: Nov. 24th from 11:00 a.m. til whenever we get tired! (usually around 4 or 5)
Same rules as usual, no ridiculously overpowered blasters, no sharp objects in your darts, and no 3/0 weighted, or slingshot darts.
There's a burger place a short walk/drive away from the park that we usually go to for lunch, and we usually do lunch around 1 or 2.

Gametypes: Team Deathmatch, capture the flag, pistol rounds, etc. (And maybe defend the core...)

Dart restrictions: No pointed objects (thumbtacks, nails, etc.) can be in your darts, no exposed metal, wirewrap darts, slingshot and 3/0 darts are pending my approval, I'll say no unless you send me pictures of them and they're not poorly made. Missiles, arrows, balls, and other oversized foam ammo is allowed.

Blaster Restrictions: Use common sense (No realistic blasters), no singled cobras, titans, roto rockets, or homemade air blasters unless you put shotgun barrels on them, with at least 3 barrels on them. Plugged big blasts, LBBs, and similar air blasters are banned unless they've got a perfectly functioning OPRV. I reserve the right to spot ban blasters, so I'd advise you bring a back up (You should always bring a back up anyways)Melee is allowed

What to bring: Water, blasters (Primary, secondary, and bringing back-ups is a good idea.) darts (Stock or stefans) and EYE PROTECTION! If you don't bring any, you're not allowed to participate! Optional: Stuff to trade and/or sell, nerfy stuff for the raffle, etc.

P.S. If you're not a member of any NIC forums and need to message me, do so at Righteousfondue (at) yahoo.com (*COUGH COUGH* STEPHEN)

All attendees must be 13 years or older to attend, and I reserve the right to kick anyone out if they're disobeying the rules.

Heads up all, looks like rain, so the war is pushed back to the 24th.

DISCLAIMER: By attending this war, you have to A. Allow me to show your likeness in my war videos which will be posted on youtube, or B. Wear a mask of some sort to cover your face, I'm not going to go and edit your face out just because you didn't listen to my rules. If you don't want to do either of these things, then you're not welcome at my war, and I will have to ask you to leave.

That's still a factor, and for the moment I can't really check the weather on those dates, so we'll decide on a date, and if it rains, we'll re-schedule.

I wasn't able to make it last time because I couldn't get a ride (I'm in Palo Alto). Can anyone give me a ride this time around? I'd really rather not take 4 hours worth of trains. I can compensate for gas and/or also meet in any city that Caltrain stops at.

BUMP and update!
It looks like rain this Saturday, and if that happens I'm probably going to end up pushing the date back to the weekend of Thanksgiving Break (24th)
If not, then nothing has changes.

We'd love to have you!
Weather today was pretty bad, we *could* have had it today, but the playing field probably still would've been pretty wet and that'd just be no fun.
Also, if anyone cares I've got an FB event for it here

This works out quite nicely. I can/will attend if there already 5+ people willing/going to attend (doing at least 3v3 is the basics for me...) If anyone needs a ride and they are south of Union City and north of San Jose, message me with your cell and let me talk to your parents and then I can most likely pick you up. Anyways, I need to know the attendance... so who is for sure coming? Not interested in maybes here.

Sadly as of now there aren't many confirmed people, just you, me, and Googoo1876 from Nrev. The DUGG group usually has quite a few people show up (8+)but there are a large amount of positive maybes, and on top of that there are a handful of nerfers not on the forums that show up, so we should have about the usual attendance of 15+.

ALSO, one thing I added to the thread, that I want to make very clear, I want to get footage of this war, and post it on youtube. By attending this war you allow me to use your likeness in my video(s), or will wear something to cover your face, since I'm not going to edit videos and cut someone's face out of every shot they're in just because they didn't listen to my rules. If you don't want to do either of these things, then you're not welcome at my war, and I will have to ask you to leave.

EDIT: Also, I'm looking for a stock RFDG, if you've got one, please message me and we can work something out.

I know that there is not incredible amounts to recap, but for anyone that's curious this war did indeed happen and was a lot of fun. Consider coming out to the next one if you missed this one; I think Righteous_Fondue is planning one in December. Thank you to everyone who attended and made this war possible!
