My school has a nerf club and I have a modified AT3K and I dont want to hurt anybody, so is there any other way to make softer dart tips other than hot glue and felt?
Thanks for replying in advance.

You can try:
eraser heads
foam
or even buy actual tips from informer/velocitytag (google).
I haven't been able to get a hold of any of these but I was able to buy some foam knee pad thingies at the dollar store and will be testing the soon.

You're probably best off just using stock darts, as those will be easily recognizable by everyone involved as "safe".

I think informer sells darts and materials to make darts.
If the foam's too expensive for you, you can always outsource the foam and just buy the tips.

i made a couple of slugs using 3/8 inch felt tips to see if they hurt less. it hurt still but it didnt hurt as bad as hot glue domes so i will try that to see if they hurt people during a war.

You shouldn't use the 3/8 felt tips from Home Depot/lowes, they are as hard as fuck. You should go to McMaster-Carr.com and look up "1/2 felt pads" and you'll find the ones that are much softer.

You could try putty wrap darts, as they are very safe, and non painful, so any school official would probably allow them upon reviewing them.

Also, I would stick to stock ammo if at all possible per your budget. This discourages anything more powerful than you should have at a school club. Like, for instance, all of the modded AT3Ks that I've seen.

Informer silicon tips hurt, they can leave welts especially from a 3k, I have seen some stefans made with felt tips.

Probably might be the safest bet.
