Problem: The Avatars which Ice9, JLego and I created for the site when I became an Admin last year are just too awesome. Members who are unworthy of their awesomeness have selected them, and tainted our most beloved fictional characters with their shitty posts.
Solution: Let the members pick out a new avatar pack.
We will have a poll with the nominees, and the top N categories will be turned into new avatar galleries on the site where N is some number that results in a total number of new avatars that is proportional to the number of new members we have, adjusted for how much your suggestions suck.
The Poll is up!
If you don't see your suggestion up there, it is because it was vetoed by at least two members of the moderation team.

More nerf guns would be nice, both homemade and stock. I'd be willing to make some of those if necessary. Something like this might need it's own suggestions.

I think some pin up girl silhouettes or something like that would be pretty cool. Half naked girls are nice to look at, but are overused for stuff like this. Some tasteful silhouettes could add some flare while not being too tacky.
On the other hand, the guy who posted before me used the word 'fuck' a lot so he probably knows what he's talking about.

I'd suggest simple, clean, bi-color or tri-color symbols/emblems/seals. Think: Half Life's orange Lambda, Aperture Lab's black circle/portal, general Greek letters/symbols in black-with-white-background, or white-with-black-background setup. Maybe some crests (medieval family seals) as well. Basically just non-annoying, non-visually-messy, and very classy looking images.
