Well my pride and joy, my brassed sm1500, has just given me a little hiccup, it seems to have developed a slow air leak, it will fire like a cannon right after you pump it but if you wait a minute or so then it will lose almost all its pressure. So I pumped it up and put it underwater to find out the source of my issues, and the leak appears to be the spot where the trigger pin comes out of the back of the air tank. Does anyone have any ideas about how to save my baby? Has anyone ever fixed something like this before?
After some searching I see that jangadance has had the same issue I have, if you are out there janga did you ever manage to get anywhere fixing it?

No, my problem was much more severe. Behind the air tank there is a smaller cylinder that the valve pin comes out of. Somehow that had broken off, leaving the o-ring contained inside loose on the pin, no longer keeping an airtight seal on the rear of the tank. However, I have heard that people try to fix leaks back there by lubricating or greasing up the pin. Try silicone spray or white grease (blue grease should work too), good luck Raiden.

Well I have just fired a whack of silicone spray into the valve hopefully that will solve it. Otherwise I have some white lithium grease I will try if the silicone isnt enough. Cross your fingers for me.

*Crosses Fingers* Also, you could probably cut the thing open, replace the o-ring, and do an airtank expansion while you're at it... I probably wouldn't if you could fix it without doing that though. But that's an alternate solution...

Ok the same thing happened to me.I opened it up and found that my line was snapped where it connects to the air tank.Nothing a little super glue can't do.

You could buy one of those airtech guns and scrap it for the parts.

It acctually seems to be working pretty well now, and using the water test I am not losing air anymore., I will probably have to re spray it every once in a while, but I should really do that anyways, I imagine. Thanks for the input guys.

I had a similar problem, but, more servere. That little protrusion where the pin comes out, was cracked in three places, and actually fell apart. I have it superglued, but it still leaks, will epoxy fix that problem? or do I need something different?

Epoxy could work (to tell you the truth I have never used it for plastic but the response was good) Plumbers goop could also do you some good there too.
