I built a Mad Ghost a couple weeks ago with my friend qwertyman and we thought that the barrel design could be drastically improved and could get ridiculous ranges. See the stock 3DBBQ Mad Ghost got only 60 feet of ranges and mine can get around a hundred. The original has a cool rifling system but is in PVC not CPVC or brass so you have to use electric taped Stefans which are really light and don't fly well. With my simple tweaks it probably doubles its ranges and could be optimized to your preferences. All I did was make a copper and brass RSCB clip, make the pump farther out with a 1 1/2 inch coupler, and offset the trigger RSCB area to be more comfortable for me because I am a lefty.

All in all the mad ghost is a great gun and has great potential. I will be making an original homeade writup thanks.

Host your picture on an internet hosting site, and use that URL. It cannot link to your computer. Try imgur.com, flickr.com, and photobucket.com for image hosting.

And out of curiosity, what do you mean by "electrical tape darts"? I have a feeling that wrapping your darts in e-tape may be causing a loss in range.

noobpwner21: If you're not including a writeup in your post, this sort of thing belongs in the Homemade Pictures Thread...make the thread when you actually have the writeup done. The poll doesn't change the fact that this isn't worth having its own thread. Take some time and read the New User Guide.

3DBBQ uses tape wrap darts. Wrap a weight (such as wire) around the foam, then cover with a few turns of PVC mending tape, pulling taught so the diameter of that section is narrower than the barrel.

Oh, duh. That seems obvious in retrospect, especially since he was referring to the mad ghost . I was imagining glue domes wrapped in E-tape until they fit in PVC.

Capitalization and not double-posting are both things mentioned in the New Member Guide that I told you to go read...not to mention the Code of Conduct. Take a couple days off, and actually read it this time.
