Ok, simply put, the little pusher thing does not push far enough to cause the circular clip to rotate... It simply just keeps going back and forth very fast, but doesn't seem to push far enough. I did Uriel's piston mod, and I think it's the increased pressure of the spring that isn't allowing the pushing thing to be pushed far enough. Does anyone have any possible solutions to this problem? I've tried putting bands on it to see if it would push it up farther, but to no avail. Help is appreciated.

Edit: Ach, my apology, I forgot to add this: The reason it is not advancing is because when I did the piston mod, I had to shorten the length of the piston, which means that it's not long enough anymore... does anyone know how to extend the actual pusher?

Yeah, make a new one. Molding one won't be too hard, but finding the proper strength plastic will be. There is an easier way though, throw the RF20 in the never-use pile. The thing sucks. Buy a PC, get some extra clips, there you go.

The reason it is not advancing is because when I did the piston mod, I had to shorten the length of the piston, which means that it's not long enough anymore...

You shortened the piston?

I think that statement forfeits your right to a working RF20...

Ok, if I am thinking of the mod you did, this should resemble it:

The dotted line is where you cut the piston to stretch the spring, but you probably didn't cut it that much.

You will probably just have to install the piston in the case as far forward as you can. Then support the supply line as best as possible (with epoxy probably), and see if that works.

You can get much further with a kind word and a gun than you can with a kind word alone

Lol Cx I'd normally agree- but this is something that I had to do to get at the actual spring itself- and Vintage you are right; I guess I'll just have to try to inch the piston forwards until it works... And by piston, I mean the case- the clear thing. Not the actual white tube.
