So this is my first post and first mod. I've reading around a lot and have sorted some things out but frankly there's just a lot I don't know. It seems that some people are saying I need to cut the tip off of the shells inside to stop the air from being inhibited. Some say to cut the barrel off to the stock. Some say to intertwine the spring with another more compact spring and others say I need to make my own darts to see a big difference. Now all of these may be true, and I feel like I can do all of them except the darts. But I'm just curious if anyone has any other ideas or thinks some of these are wrong and any insite into how I can do the home made darts would be good too. Thank you so much!!

"Give me ideas for how to mod my blaster" threads aren't what this board is about.

Really, whatever you want/think is in your skill and ability level. Search around, there are some great resources out there. the best part about this is if you don't like what you did to it, get a new one and try again. Buzz Bee blasters are rather inexpensive.

A new Forum was put up just a few days ago all about making homemade darts if you haven't viewed it yet. Read the pinned topics there, and be sure to read Ryanmc#s and Kanethemediocre's threads as well. http://nerfhaven.com...hp?showforum=28

Check out the Modifications directory for mods done to the Rapid Fire in the past.

I wouldn't bother modifying the rapid-fire, if this is your 1st mod. You are most likely to get less performance once finished.

Start with a night-finder, and watch as many youtube videos on modifying night-finders as you can before starting.

From the New Members Guide:

"Dont"s:

  • DO NOT Post a 'which is best' thread, a 'what mods should I do to my [blaster]' thread, etc. Read the forums, make your own decision.
Common Questions: (read this before you post to ask any of these questions)
  • How do I modify [gun x]. Which modification for [gun x] is best? - Check the Modifications Directory and decide for yourself.
