Because making silicone domes that were easier to produce wouldn't be fun, I added some more tools to make them have an internal air pocket for "padding".

As always, it's a work in progress.

Double post for great justice:

The previous machine has been refined and rebuilt with shinier, more expensive parts. It's producing good blanks without filling my house with pink dust, but it still needs TLC now and again to keep it running. This isn't EXACTLY the final version, but it's pretty damn close. There won't be another major overhaul of the process, just minor tweaks to make it easier to use.

I think this thread deserves documentation of my "auto blanker".

The back cam stops the foam - measuring the length as the front cam (with attached razor blade) spins around and cuts it. A wet-dry vac provides suction that feeds the foam. In the full speed operation video it cuts 100' of foam in 3min 44 seconds - though the drill battery was almost dead at that point in the night. With a full battery on low gear (high gear makes it jam up) it cut 100' in a little over 2 min.

Slow operation video (click to view):

Full speed operation video (click to view)... Photo bucket refuses to let me upload over my current slow internet connection. I'll have to get it up once I get back to a more stable connection.

Ends come up perfectly square, length is incredibly consistent. It's a beautiful result!

Write up is pending - but coming. Right now I'm focusing on the production and sale of cut blanks. (Shameless plug warning)

I improved Aeromech's quick-change hopper design with a 3D-printed tongue on a metal spring.

It's now reliable, shake-proof, and durable enough for war use.

Writeup and 3D model soon!

My hopper that I crafted from an RSCB, a wye and some random pvc I had laying around. It works with the 2 little darts I made for it, but it still has some room for improvement

The easiest rebarrel in the world. The paper barrel slides over the Titan barrel threads.
