Hello and welcome to the first St Louis Area Nerf Event!
This will, hopefully, be the first of many events here in the St Louis area. At this time we plan to facilitate trading, modding, making friends or enemies, and most importantly NERF! Without further adieu let's get on to the details...

Date: Saturday, August 4th, 2012
Time: 12:00PM - 6:00PM
Location: Tilles Park‎ St. Louis, MO 63139

Rules-
-Gun restrictions... I will be more strict this time around. If I think it is too powerful, it will be banned.
-Bows and arrows allowed on a case by case basis and not for every game type.
-Nada on the singled Titans/whatever.
-Darts, slugs only and McMaster-Carr part#8771K12 felt tip or softer... NO GLUE TIPS
-Manta or smaller on shields, for regular games.
-Please no black only guns or camo or full face masks.
-Barrel taps are fine, don't over do it.
-Eye protection recommended, required if under 18.
-Most important, don't be a douche bag.

Match Types-
-MeatGrinder
-Deathmatch/Team Deathmatch
-Capture The Flag/Bomb
-Gunslinger
-Freeze Tag
-Territories (possibly)
-HvZ (possibly)

We are going to start at noon or earlier with a MeatGrinder or Deathmatch game, feel free to get there 15 min early if you want. We will then go into a more structured Team Deathmatch game which we will allow any modded guns or melee that fit within our rules and are reasonably powered. Random team captains will be selected and they will choose the teams. Then the games will go as such...

=Freeze Tag
=Gunslinger

From there we will just go with what seems the best for the amount of people and the mood we are in. Could even get a quick HvZ game going.

Lunch-
-Eat it before hand. I would recommend bringing a snack plus water.

Alcohol or Drugs-
-Seriously? Don't bring that shit here.

Items to Bring-
-Water (There is a drinking fountain close by)
-Sunscreen
-Lunch
-At least one primary and one pistol
-SLUGS or stock darts(I'd say 50-100)
-Things for trade
-A friend and a friendly attitude

Please let me know if you are attending or not attending. Feel free to bring your friends/family/crazy neighbor/or ferret. Only you can make this a great Nerf war, and prevent forest fires!

Ha well our acronyms do share 4 letters. Perhaps we can be sister wars, battle sisters if you will. Because real Nerfers know how to embrace their feminine side.

Well, I'll e out of town on the 28th, but if we have a real crowd, I might be able to bring Ninjas again on the next weekend. That is my 21st, and i have other friends who play Nerf coming to the area to celebrate. If we are in condition we can play.

Suggestions, A definite list and order of games.
More blaster usage, less melee driven stuff.
Red/Blue armbands for teams.

Find a park with lighting and play in the evening, it's summer, and it's hot.

Have y'all decided on a date yet? I'd like to know, because I need to make a gap in my schedule for the war if it's going to be on the 28th.

I will be there, most likely regardless of date for at least the first two hours, and possibly more if I can take off work. I really need to get a good primary ready...

Any scoop on the power of the blasters being used? IF I march in with my AR removed longshot and magstrike will I get diddled?
I was supposed to have an automatic barricade by now, but my stupid grandpa wont fix his dremel.

It is looking like it will be Saturday the Fourth of August. Lets plan on this date. I will work on getting the war on the official list.

I would say most of the blasters in my group will be stock AR removed. I do all the modding for my group and I am having to basically do all the blasters by the Nerf war so there wont be anything crazy done to their blasters. I am however planning on getting my +Bow back up and working, no idea if I will have it ready in time, plus finish modding my Long Strike no I don't believe you will be under powered, just gotta use your rate of fire to your advantage.

I have updated the main post and more updates are to follow. We should have plastic tape for marking teams and important areas. In our previous war we did have lots of Melee, there should be less of this and more actual Nerf. I am not so keen on playing in the evening. One it is illegal to be in public parks after dark. Two most of my group, including me, would not be able to make it. Please let me know if anyone else has suggestions.

Ok, good to know. I will be there as long as I can get off work, which I should be able to. I may also bring 1-3 people.

I actually think I'll be good to go. I just transformed my Tek 4's into viable secondaries that get almost outrange my LS.

Any scoop on what types of stefans are allowed? Some of the people I may bring are scared of getting major welts and stuff.

Updated main post with dart restrictions. I am allowing just slugs and stock darts, Apoc style. No one will have to worry about any dart disasters.

Oh not at all. We will have a few extra modified blasters if you would want to borrow one. In addition if you would like help modding your weapons, shoot me a PM. Got tools and such like Dremel and Scroll saw too.

Hey, I was unable to buy parts off mcmaster for making my stefans for the war until yesterday, and they will not arrive in time for me to have my own stefans for the war. I will bring my case of stock darts, but if that isn't enough, would anyone else going to the war be able to loan me some? I'll only be there 3 hours so I wouldn't need that many. I'd appreciate any help.

Yea cant wait for the war tomorrow! I Have been EXTREMELY busy this last week and a half and been unable to make the number of slugs I would have liked but I will have some extra Ammo for people. There should be plenty as long as we pickup after each round. See you all there

Soooo... there are two Tilles Parks in St. Louis. I assumed that this would be at the one in Ladue. I just observed the map for the first time and discovered that there is a second one, and I can't get to that one. My friend also bailed, so I personally don't think that it would be that fun to drive alone, forever just to play Nerf with two people I don't know that are likely much older than ,eam. I don't mean it rude in any way, and if I can schedule properly next year I would love to attend or, preferably host/help host a sequel. Hope you guys have fun though, and maybe next year for me.

I was up there for about a half hour lookinq for you quys even went to both tillies' parks . Im interested in another qame , as lonq as date and time is set in stione , And i can definetley brinq someone then .
