I call this the hose handle homemade

I know this has been done before but those all relied on glue to hold a piece of pvc inside the handle, but this methods; hold pressure better, is cheaper and easier to make.

This is a cheap, quick and easy to make homemade secondary that gets ranges well over 100 ft.
parts list

3/4 INCH THREADED MALE COUPLING

large tire valve

hose nozzle

1/2 inch bushing / coupling (or whatever else you want to use to connect your barrel to the hose nozzle)

bike pump




Your hose handle must have the ridge hi-lighted with green in the Handel shown in the picture above.


Then take your 3/4 INCH THREADED MALE COUPLING and you tire valve.


Then stick the thin end of the tire valve into the the threaded end of the 3/4 INCH THREADED MALE COUPLING.


Then screw it into the handle of the hose nozzle. (as tight as you can)


Finally add a couplor or bushing to the front of the hose nozzle,if you have a different nozzle you will have to couplour the nozzle differently.

If you don't want to run around with a bike pump attached to your gun remove it since there is a check valve in the tire valve it will still hold air and you can put it in your pocket as a backup shot.

I recommend holding the barrel wile firing for better accuracy.

It is very effective and cheap.

Range test with 4 pumps.

90 ft
100 ft
110 ft
97 ft
103 ft

no the tightness of the 3/4 INCH THREADED MALE COUPLING and the hose nozzle when screwed together sandwiches the tire vale to the rim of the hose handle so well i have had it up to 100 psi left it for 20 minutes came back checked the psi and it was still at 100 psi it is a perfect seal

Does the speed that you pull the "trigger" affect the ranges, i.e. is it a similar release method to a 4B or is it instant release?

I don't think the speed which you pull the handle will matter, as the valve travel is very short.

It may or may not make a difference with this specific hose nozzle, but I've used nozzles before where it definitely does. It varies, I'd guess that ones with higher flow and shorter travel are generally better.

This is a nice quick homemade. Imagine carrying several of these in the pockets of cargo shorts, all pumped ahead of time. It could turn out very amusing.

I've essentially done this before. Although yours is smaller.

Also, you're doing 4 pumps for those ranges? I might be mistaken, but that's gotta be a really high PSI you're dealing with. Most home water systems have a pressure they're built to handle, so I'm unsure of durability.

In any case, I can confirm that these types of blasters are very easy to make, and perform extremely well. Probably a good "first homemade" for someone to build, though they are not war legal in many places.

True. It's a pain in the ass trying to use a homemade air gun at wars. You'd better have an OPV, and be willing to let people pump it with reckless abandon. Oh, and do lots of other thigns, like comparing it directly to other blasters on hand. After all, we're using compressed air. If something fails, it doesn't just break - it turns into shrapnel. That's why I question your operating psi.

True, but there is a certain appeal to this. Since you can separate the pump without depressurizing, you could pump a few of these up, put them in pockets/loops in clothing, and have them for a handy backup shot. You know, that secondary pistol that turns out to be a NF Rifle.

There is a not-insignificant amount of tank volume within the handle itself. Hoppers work just fine.

I did this with another pump a while ago. It didn't go 100ft for me, but it was close. I probably had a bad pump. Looking at yours I have to give you props definetly!
