I have an Alpha Trooper Massacre Kit coming in soon. I've considered adding a power stock mod as well as the kit, but I have a concern. Even if I did reinforce the priming bar with epoxy at the grip and bolt sled, would it warp under the 6KG OMW Spring and maybe an Ace/Home Depot spring? I would hate to do the mod and reinforce the priming bar and it warp under all the pressure and have a non working Alpha Trooper with an OMW kit. I will probably use epoxy putty for reinforcement, but as well, anyone have suggestions for more reinforcement of the priming bar? Thanks,
Sasquatch

The OMW spring is already more than enough power. You won't need the power stock, and even if you did I doubt there will be that much of a power increase. There is only so much air that the tiny PT can push. I have not heard of anyone having issues with the priming bar with the OMW spring, so you should be fine as long as you don't add a power stock.

Don't add a power stock, the OMW spring is plenty as said above. Any additional work would just be a lot of time for very little if any improvement. As for the priming bar warping, mine warped to the point where I had to trash it just under the stress of the OMW spring. This could have just been a bad bar, but still. I've never tried to reinforce the priming bar, what I did in my second AT is just add thick foam padding to the back of my plunger tube so that the priming bar doesn't have to move as far for the catch to engage. Basically the foam padding pushes the plunger tube a 1/4 inch back already, so even if the priming bar bends a little there is still enough travel for the catch to engage. If you find a way to reinforce the priming bar however, this would be a much better solution. I'm not sure I would go with just epoxy putty though, because if the spring can bend a steel rod, it might just crack off the putty and leave you with a mess.

Alright. I did research and many people, even OMW suggests putting epoxy or hot glue where the priming bar fits into the foregrip and on the bolt sled where it is screwed in so the bar cannot move up and down or sideways. And thanks for the help.

I agree with the advice previously said here. Another thing to keep in mind with modding in general is that after a certain amount of power, if you're still shooting stock darts then their just going to fishtail out of the blaster and be even less effective than before you modded it. I find that I love my recon OMW kit, but the 6kg spring is right on that threshold.
