A few days ago I was messing around with my sm3k. I decided to remove the ARs, and did so. After modding the gun, I pumped it about three times and then tried to shoot, no go. I pumped it again, heard a loud popping noise, and now the gun will fire sporadically. Somtimes it will fire just fine, other times, not at all. I am quite sure that I put it back together correctly after modding it, and upon opening the gun I can find nothing wrong. Any ideas?

When you say it fires sometimes, the times it doesn't, does it hold air (leaking maybe) or trigger just not pull it?

No, it does not hold air at all, when it decides not to fire. When you pump it, the air just blowes out the barrel.

Then its the washer that seals the tank. You need to take it apart.

If it's the washer, then why does it sometimes fire?

I would guess the o-ring that seals in the front of the tank somehow separated from the firing pin.

It sometimes will be in place, but after you have shot the tank while it works, the washer then is out of place again.
Basically, it moves around, not always sealing.

That makes sense, I will take it apart and see. Thanks for all your help.

If it's not an issue with the tank, I would check the trigger for stress marks (if it flexes when pulling the pin that would explain why it doesn't fire sometimes), check the tubing for kinks (Especially if you leave the OPRV in, a kink can make the pressure high enough to stop any air from getting to the tank), and possibly the cam placement. Try functioning the blaster with only half a shell to try and see what's going on.

I opened the blaster up and found a leak at the tube connection at the tank. Also the washer at the front of the tank had come off of the white pin. It is working fine now, thanks to every one!
