I recently got a double shot (a little late, I know) and discovered: it doesn't work with streamlines! Mine seemed to either not fire the dart, or to only fire it a couple a feet, so I got to work on the shells.
What you need:
Double shot shells
pliers

First off, you need to know what the problem is:

See those orange pieces poking out? They're clinging to the dart, get rid of them like this:

Now you can shoot streamlines!

I am unsure of the ranges, but I will try and test them tomorrow. This is my first mod and writeup, so please tell me if anything is unclear.
Thanks, thesaz, for notifying me of my error

I'm not ambidextrous, I just write with both hands.

Darts, not bullets.

Nice job with the mod, but this isn't anything original at all.

Keep working though.

The goal when posting a write-up is to show how to do a modification that hasn't been explained before and/or is completely original and never before seen on the Haven.

I've never fucking seen anyone remove just the tips of the pegs, maybe hes only limited to stock guns, and would like to use all type of ammo? Seems useful to me.

And no, the goal is not show something that hasn't been explained before, otherwise there wouldn't be countless writeups of a coupler'd Nitefinder. The goal is to post useful content that may help another person achieve a similar result that you did.

Woah chill out man. And last time I checked, when somebody does a write up of something that has already been done before (AR removals, couplerings, etc.) I always see people chastise them for it, then an admin or mod comes around and tells the OP to post something more original. At least from what I have seen. You could be right though. I'm just stating what I've seen around.

One should note that this only applies to the newer shells. The older shells with the shorter dart pegs can fire streamlines fine.

We would not see tons of write-ups on couplered Nitefinders if only things that have never been seen before were allowed. Because they would all be couplered Nitefinders. What you said was redundant. But I do think write-ups should be original, or at least sharing something new, like a major improvement to something already known, or a new concept altogether. And I'm sure most mods/patrons of this site would agree with me.

I have some fairly old shells, maybe 3 years, and they also are not friendly with streamlines. So maybe your shells are older yet, or you are a lucky man.

Very sorry for taking so long to reply. I didn't notice that there were any mods like this, and overlooked the fact that an air restrictor removal would fix this problem as well. I will say that my time of lurking appears to have sort of paid off, as I am only being half chewed out. Again, I apologize for making a bad post.
@Jilliop:I do agree that writeups should be original, not the same stuff several times over.
