It looks like it has the same dimensions as 1/2inch CPVC, so it should work for barrels.

1/2 inch ID, 5/8 inch OD, 1/16 inch wall. Seems legit. Anyway, this would be a bit tighter than regular PETG, as the ID is 1/2 inch, the same of 1/2 inch CPVC. You can hit up this link for regular PETG on McMaster:

From what I've experienced, 1/2" PETG has a *slightly* easier fit than CPVC. But to answer your question, yes. I bought some PETG from McMaster-Carr about a week or two ago, and it had the exact numbers on it, if I remember right.

As most people have said, the ID is 1/2" just like most 1/2" CPVC, but the price for it is way overpriced. You can get 1/2" ID 5/8" OD polyester tubing on Mcmaster for a little more then a dollar a foot which in my opinion is a lot better to use then CPVC. CPVC's ID changes from batch to batch, brand to brand so it's difficult to use consistently as a barrel material. While the 1/2" polyester tubing has stayed consistent with it's ID from different batches.

What you linked in your first post from Amazon is not PETG, it is Polycarbonate. PETG stands for Polyethylene Terephtalate Glycol, which is a softer more flexible plastic that's used in beverage containers and other cheap packaging. PETG refers to the type of plastic, and nothing else. As a barrel material, the diameter depends on where/who you're getting it from.
