Where can these be purchased, and do you need to buy an additional charger? I'm assuming you have to buy that pack with the clips.

Check radioshack or your local electronics store for a 4 double a battery holder preferably with clips any is fine.

Plus they're unprotected which generally give better performance, and shipping is free internationally. The only drawback is they usually 2-4 weeks to arrive after ordering.

No, they are unfortunately not rechargeable in a conventional battery charger. Are the batteries chargeable in a regular, say energizer, double A rechargeable battery charger? And 15 volts seems like alot to me. I'll maybe just use two.

But to answer your question, Radio Shacks usually sell Rc batteries and connectors for those batteries. Its as simple as soldering the connectors to the wires of the Swarmfire and connecting it to your battery.

Not to worry, When I'm done, I'll do a write up. Im still deciding between these "trust fire" rechargeables, or a rc battery. The trust fires performed quite well, but I'm not sure how the motor will stand up to this.Darnit. This title is deceiving, I thought that this was a writeup...
