The screwhole on the plunger rod is what stripped. I thought about glue, but that would be horrible. I think a larger diameter screw would work well.
Well hot glue wouldn't be ideal here. I suggest you do all the modification you want to the springs then epoxy putty the whole screwport and then put the screw in. If you're lucky the screw might create threads in the putty but don't count on it.

If two powerful is a problem then just go with one powerful. I guess this style of hopper will work even beyond three powerful..
