So I've been lurking the site for a bit, and as far as I've found, there's no list of the commonly used acronyms. For most of the board, that's probably not a problem, and for a good portion of the acronyms, they aren't hard to figure out, but some are just beyond me.

And I'd rather not start a new thread every time I want to know what an acronym means, or even keep asking every time I see an unfamiliar combination of capital letters, so I'm suggesting that a list of acronyms and their meanings be compiled into a comprehensive list and either pinned somewhere (IE: General Nerf) or attached to an existing thread or document (IE: the new player's guide, or the new member's guide, respectively)

Just a thought. Not trying to tell anyone how to do their job.

Also, what the hell is an RSCB?

RSCB: A type of clip/magazine that works by tipping the blaster forward to seat a dart in the barrel. Commonly used in higher powered blasters, as the system contains excessive amounts of dead space.

PETG: PETG is a clear amorphous thermoplastic that can be injection molded or sheet extruded. It can be colored during processing. Is commonly used as a barrel material for air powered blasters.

Dead Space: the term used for unneeded space in a blaster.

Stefan: a homemade dart.

Dome: a Stefan made with hot glue for a tip.

Slug: a Stefan made with a washer for a weight and a felt pad for the tip (was originally conceived by CaptainSlug, therefore named after him).

I like the idea of a topic of acronyms and terminology stickied somewhere, preferably with instructions for FNGs to go there.

Although if acronyms will be stuck in there, the person who started the topic must ACTUALLY say what the letters stand for.

On that note, what does 'RSCB' even stand for? I have searched and haven't really found anything.

RSCB = Rawray, ShortShit, Cynical Synapse and 3DBBQ, the creators of the RSCB. Nothing to do with the actual function, just their names.
