Just a note: I have no clue if this has been talked about before.
Anyway I own neither of these and it seems on forums its the Xbow that consistently gets more range modded. At the same time I have friends who own both who say the BBB is better.
P.S. I am asking which is better modded.

Ok here's my viewpoint; I voted for the x-bow. Now before people bash me, here is my reasoning. The x-bow itself is simply more durable and in my opinion, more accurate. I have 2 BBB's and 1 x-bow, and my x-bow is far more accurate than my BBB. My BBB has an one-inch 17/32 with 6 inches of 9/16 nested brass, and it's really not that accurate, or at least not as accurate as my x-bow. Also, when I fire the BBB, I'm constantly afraid that the whole thing will blow apart in my face and injure me for life, while with the x-bow, I don't need to worry as much about that. Overall, I'll agree with the fact that the BBB has better range, but I prefer the x-bow for it's combined accuracy and feel. Frankly, the x-bow just feels better in your hands than a BBB.

On another note, I believe there are guns that out-perform both of these weapons. The maxshot for example, sans it's tendency to explode, seems to me to be an incredible weapon. Also, many of the supermaxx's are very good, such as the sm1500 or the sm5k.

I will go with BBB. I have one, a bolt action one. Mine is very accurate and I love the action, both bolt and cocking, of it. With the bolt action, It has a good ROF. I voted for BBB because I have never seen an Xbow, and I am very satisfied with my BBB.

I have 2 BBBs, but they seem to misfire alot and only get satisfactory range (70'-80'). ROF isn't that good either. Probably mine are just modded wrong, but I prefer mid range guns with good ROF (ie. Blastfire, AT3k). So I voted that there are others that are better.

I voted for "There are other guns that are alot better" because I think X-bows and BBB's are over rated. Other guns can get alot better ROF's.

Old argument indeed, but I'll forever love the x bow more, especially since mine just got new shinny telescoping brass barrels.

Neither is as good as you might expect given the hype.

Between the two, the xbow is more durable and easier to mod. It also wins in the ergonomics category, though that's a pretty subjective thing.

I actually disliked my BBB enough that I put it back in the box and returned it to the store to get my ~$25 back. There was nothing specific wrong with it, I just didn't like the thing.

I voted X-bow. Mine gets 150 feet flat with pvc barrel, stock micros, DT3 spring and a bungee. I also have an intagrated SM1500 on mine and ive tried all different barrel lengths with the same exact pvc material and never got the same results as my x-bow gets. I had a BBB too and barrel moded mine only got 70-80 feet with pvc and stock micros. I put a new spring in it and even sum internal bands and it only got about 10-15 more feet untill it blew up in my hands. Other than a multi barreled gun (sm1000/1500/ss1/or turret barreled gun) My x-bow has a better ROF than any other single shot gun ive seen, including bolt action/breach loading guns. Blowing a dart down my x-bows barrel is just as fast as opening a bolt and slipping a dart in.
