I just picked up the new style doubleshot with its over-under configuration rather than the standard side by side.
Buzzbee seem to have made a lot of changes with this next iteration.

Skip to the bottom for a summary if tl;dr

First, the overall build quality and construction methods seems to be a lot cleaner than previous blasters. The plastic is quite thick in places and the gun has a sense of sturdiness about it. They have gone for a new style of shell with a larger lip for better air seal. The restrictors are also easier to remove in these as the barrel post comes away easier. There are also a crap ton of screws in it of various different sizes, but overall more screw points.

Second, the whole plunger tube assembly is much better than before. The springs seem stronger (Making it rear-cocking made it difficult to prime) and the O-Ring seal is very good, with plenty of lubricant. The Springs are also more accessible than the older doubleshots, ill be trying a replacement in the near future. The seal between plunger tube and shell also seems to be good and the ranges reflect that.

However, the new alignment of barrels makes the blaster seem overly thin, and while this may be good for some people, makes my grip less secure ( i have large hands by the way ). The cocking mechanism is also fairly awkward as the barrels look like they may pull off their mountings at some point. The shell ejection system is also finicky and require the blaster to be fully primed to eject (its complicated).

With the minimisation, they lowered the rear storage to 2 shells - not really a problem if your going to minimise it. On the subject of minimisation - the barrels look like they can be easily cut off and there is spare space in the stock that can be reduced as well.

The trigger pull is good and the catch springs aren't weak. The catch was also covered in lube when i opened it up - an unusual touch but it helps it to move. Its another one of the standard hook catches like those found in the hunter or RFR.

Summary
Pros: Better build quality
Stronger springs
Improved seals

Cons: Worse grip
Less dart storage
Poor shell ejection

I did some preliminary range tests on it and basic mods to improve the airflow (nothing of note) and r=here are the results.

Stock w/ stock shells and darts: 25ft
Improved airflow w/ stock shells and darts: 30-35ft
ditto w/ modded shells & modded streamlines: 40ft

Im going to rebarrel to see if any more can be squeezed out of it, i heard someone got 50-70 out of it, cant remember who (feel free to post afterwards).
Also getting it open was a bitch, and i had to rip off the green ammo holder - no problem if anyone wants to paint or minimise it.

First post :) Questions? Comments? Flames?

I dunno if you went over this or not, but I also noticed that the big pulley system in the back is gone and has been replaced by like 2 or 3 pulleys more conveniently located in other places of the shell.

I war with someone who uses these as a secondary. It's grip is pretty comfortable. I would go as far as to say that's neither a pro or a con since it's subjective. They're capable of hitting 50-60 with stefans and CPVC'd shells.

Yeah i saw that, it makes cocking easier and it stops the string fraying or snagging on any sharp plastic or screw ports inside. They also dont extend the string by much so when i minimise, they wont get in the way.

Im still rebarrelling it but preliminary tests look promising. Any idea on what length CPVC he used in his shells?
