I think just about everyone of any importance has played Halo, and anyone with an X box is looking forward to Halo 2. But if they don't put it on Live, I'm not buying it, and I won't renew my Live account next year. It's the only reason I signed up in the first place.

At one point I was thinking...what if Halo 2 just completely sucked? The controls were horrible and the graphics were so much that the XBox just couldn't handle it and lagged all the time so you could barely play. What if the storyline was horrible and had no depth, and put you to sleep for hours. Then I thought about the Maple Leafs winning the Stanley Cup...no chance in hell.
And about Xbox Live, I couldn't care less if it came out with Live support or not, becuase I still refuse to pay $50 for online support when I can just go boot up my PS2 and play Socom whenever I want. I liked the single-player campaign for the first one, and the second one should be just as good.
P.S. I liked the flood...it was just fun as hell shooting them, and absolutely hilarious (if not a little discouraging) when you stuck a plasma grenade on one and they ran towards you.

Haha, that was a good joke. Um, that was a joke, was'nt it? C'mon man, they've improved every single aspect of the game! How could it be worse than the first one? May I add, are you tottaly obsessed with that face?( )But I dont think it will be better than the original

My thoughts, except without the hockey. At one point I was thinking...what if Halo 2 just completely sucked? What if the storyline was horrible and had no depth, and put you to sleep for hours. Then I thought about the Maple Leafs winning the Stanley Cup...no chance in hell.
How much can Halo 2 improve on, really? How much better can they make the AI, while still keeping the games great learning curve?
How much can they improve the vehicles, which all have strengths, weaknesses, and are useful at some point or another, before making a "super vehicle?"
How much can they improve the weapons, which also had strengths, weaknesses, and usefulness, without making a "super gun?"
How much can they improve graphics without it lagging, and glitching? How much can Live play offer?
Will Killzone really be the PlayStations answer to Microsoft's Halo 2?
As you could have guessed, I don't have an Xbox.

About X-box live...that's going to be complete craziness. Everyone and their nana is going to be playing Halo 2 online. There will be people there who play halo every freaking day and they will own you. I'm wondering if they will have rooms according to rankings or just rooms for everyone. Whatever the scheme may be, Halo 2 online will never die.
So I have no worries about this. I know it has been a long time and the game has had many delays but whatever it takes to make a game great, go ahead and do it. In the meantime, Halo isn't a bad game itself. I can live with it for a few more months.

I agree that Halo will probably still be better. It's like that with almost all games, when a sequel comes out that doesn't have the depth of the original. I still play SOCOM, months after SOCOM 2 came out, and I have them both. You know why? Because the original is better. There are exceptions of course...the Diablo series, WarCraft 2, UT2k4... Will Halo 2 be an exception? Probably not, but we'll have to wait and see.
If you want realistic, go play Rainbow Six.If you want realistic go play counter strike.
I hate you....counter strike is awesome!

Anyways, I have read everything there is to know about Halo 2. My favorite new changes are that you can hold two specific guns at once, and it will be Live enabled. I know about the vehicles taking on damage, but that disappoints me because I won't be able to do Warthog tricks and explosions anymore.
Anyways...Half 'n' Half, they never said Halo 2 was supposed to come out in March. Bungie said that they may release it around March, but it was never an official release date. The correct release date, which has been previously stated, is November 9th, 2004.
I like how only people that reserved it are going to get the special edition all metal case. Seen here:
Oh, and...Halo 2 is the most hyped up game in history. I've heard that Bungie has made more money on $5 reservations than some games have made altogether. Basically, the folks at Bungie aren't going to keep us waiting more than a year for a game that has lag, a bad storyline, etc.

Also, on another note, I read in some magazine or another that they are introducing an SMG type gun that has a faster rate of fire than the assault rifle, but less accuracy and range, and improving its distance and accuracy. Oh and also new Covenant! From 'First Strike', they have the Brute (temple guardian), Prophet (ruling caste), and Engineer (peaceful, flood-looking, well... engineers)
