Great graphics, stunning sound, amazing features. This is how Halo 2 is looking. I know Im exited about it. (God knows how many times I've watched the E3 video) I was just wondering who has played Halo, and who else is exited about Halo 2. If anyone knows any rumors or news about ir that would be great to. Go to www.bungie.net for more info. Thanks.

I just hate how the keep postponing it, but I guess it's necessary to make it the best it can be. I wonder what surprises they'll be packing into this one, because flood scared the hell out of me in the first one. So far I think the things I've heard is that most of the missions will be on a covenant planet and a few will be on earth.

Last time they postponed it from March to, I think November 9th. (Thats looking to be a very firm release date) The reason being is they wanted to add Live support. I think this is a really really good reason to postpone it. Now if they pull that crap again!!! Anyways, some people think that they should add a level editor, but make it an expansion pack. Now thisis'nt likely but It sure would be cool to create your own levels! (I hate the flood, I hope they don't come back.)

Halo 2 was always meant to go on Live. That could offer some issues, but chances are their new graphics aren't going over as smoothly as they'd like it too. The new graphics look ok, but they need alot of work to be more believable, if they must go that route.

I think just about everyone of any importance has played Halo, and anyone with an X box is looking forward to Halo 2. But if they don't put it on Live, I'm not buying it, and I won't renew my Live account next year. It's the only reason I signed up in the first place.

I haven't seen the E3 video yet, mostly being due to my laziness and the lack of my ability to go look for it. From what I've heard, if I ever do see it, I'll piss myself three times over. From what I've heard, it's 20 years since the first Halo, and the Covenant have found Earth. And vehicles explode now. Cool.

At one point I was thinking...what if Halo 2 just completely sucked? The controls were horrible and the graphics were so much that the XBox just couldn't handle it and lagged all the time so you could barely play. What if the storyline was horrible and had no depth, and put you to sleep for hours. Then I thought about the Maple Leafs winning the Stanley Cup...no chance in hell.

And about Xbox Live, I couldn't care less if it came out with Live support or not, becuase I still refuse to pay $50 for online support when I can just go boot up my PS2 and play Socom whenever I want. I liked the single-player campaign for the first one, and the second one should be just as good.

P.S. I liked the flood...it was just fun as hell shooting them, and absolutely hilarious (if not a little discouraging) when you stuck a plasma grenade on one and they ran towards you.

Um, I don't think theres much of a chance of Halo 2 having a bad story, lagging or anything else of the like. The guys at bungie are'nt idiots. I also don't think you can buy the E3 demo video. So, you probibly won't have much luck looking for it. It came with an X-Box magazine for me. But, uhhhh, good luck finding it.

Im guessing the lead dude of halo. Theres a new video to download with two lead programmers I guess showing off the game and new things (its very funny). Some other guy im guessing is like the lead dude or owner of the title had it tattood on his arm (halo 2 symbol with nov.9th above it)

I just read a article about it in xbox's official magazine. It says that the vehicles are basicly completely destructable. Like if your ghost is shot in one of the fenders. It will drag on the ground. Also you'll be able to hold 2 guns at a time with only certain guns though (no dual rocket launchers). Also a new gun is the covenent carbine. Its basically like a auto or semi auto loser. It kicks after everyshot but no cocking back again. Looking great, can't wait till nov.

I'm not saying the game sucks. It is gonna have a ton of great features and is pretty realistic. But, usually the original has the best storyline, and will still be played even though halo 2 will be out. ^_^

Halo isn't realistic. It's the mario of FPS, which is great. If you want realistic go play counter strike.

My thoughts, except without the hockey.

How much can Halo 2 improve on, really? How much better can they make the AI, while still keeping the games great learning curve?

How much can they improve the vehicles, which all have strengths, weaknesses, and are useful at some point or another, before making a "super vehicle?"

How much can they improve the weapons, which also had strengths, weaknesses, and usefulness, without making a "super gun?"

How much can they improve graphics without it lagging, and glitching? How much can Live play offer?

Will Killzone really be the PlayStations answer to Microsoft's Halo 2?

As you could have guessed, I don't have an Xbox.

Unholy Three: DUPLUM SCRTA, DUPLUM PROBLEMA (2009)

But Zeke guns tend to be like proofs by contradiction

Theoretically solid but actually non-constructive

You guys are worrying too much. Halo 2 is going to rock. I don't think the game will have any lag, they are spending too much time on it to have big flaws like that. As for gameplay, Halo 2 is going to introduce a whole bunch of new weapons (I'm looking foward to the rifle with the scope and the uzi-like guns), new and more difficult enemies, brand new levels and objectives...I can go on and on.

About X-box live...that's going to be complete craziness. Everyone and their nana is going to be playing Halo 2 online. There will be people there who play halo every freaking day and they will own you. I'm wondering if they will have rooms according to rankings or just rooms for everyone. Whatever the scheme may be, Halo 2 online will never die.

So I have no worries about this. I know it has been a long time and the game has had many delays but whatever it takes to make a game great, go ahead and do it. In the meantime, Halo isn't a bad game itself. I can live with it for a few more months.

Wow, lots of people in here can't take jokes I guess. ^_^

I agree that Halo will probably still be better. It's like that with almost all games, when a sequel comes out that doesn't have the depth of the original. I still play SOCOM, months after SOCOM 2 came out, and I have them both. You know why? Because the original is better. There are exceptions of course...the Diablo series, WarCraft 2, UT2k4... Will Halo 2 be an exception? Probably not, but we'll have to wait and see.

If you want realistic go play counter strike.

If you want realistic, go play Rainbow Six.

...counter strike is awesome!

I hate you.

Halo 2...I got it reserved.

Anyways, I have read everything there is to know about Halo 2. My favorite new changes are that you can hold two specific guns at once, and it will be Live enabled. I know about the vehicles taking on damage, but that disappoints me because I won't be able to do Warthog tricks and explosions anymore. ^_^

Anyways...Half 'n' Half, they never said Halo 2 was supposed to come out in March. Bungie said that they may release it around March, but it was never an official release date. The correct release date, which has been previously stated, is November 9th, 2004.

I like how only people that reserved it are going to get the special edition all metal case. Seen here:

Oh, and...Halo 2 is the most hyped up game in history. I've heard that Bungie has made more money on $5 reservations than some games have made altogether. Basically, the folks at Bungie aren't going to keep us waiting more than a year for a game that has lag, a bad storyline, etc.

Rainbow Six and Counter Strike are both awesome games. I agree with spectre usually the original is better but as he said we will have to wait and see. It's almost like the Lord of the Rings Trilogy. The last of the three had great effects and made a ton of money. But it wouldnt have any storyline or plot buildup without the first and second parts. Maybe that was a bad example but all in all we will have to wait till it comes out.
My friends parents are gettin him a visa card just for xbox live. Stupid bum! ^_^

Hope they fixed the blood lagging problem hehe. Whenever my friend and I play co-op, after killing a major squad of covenant, we enjoy meleeing the shit out of the elites and after a while the game starts to lag if you have your crosshair over the bloody mess. Also, I looked on the bungie site, they said they aren't going to have repeated levels ^_^ so every level is going to be different and new B) .

It'd be cool if Bungie made a huge twist and Halo 2 was a prequel to Halo.

Well Grinch, they aren't making a prequel as far as I know, but they are making a different game (Not Halo 2) for the book 'First Strike' which is the story of what happens directly after Halo for those of you who don't know. I love the books and have to say that Eric Nylund is a genius. Oh and by the way 'First Strike' has multiple SPARTANS (They weren't all killed!)

Also, on another note, I read in some magazine or another that they are introducing an SMG type gun that has a faster rate of fire than the assault rifle, but less accuracy and range, and improving its distance and accuracy. Oh and also new Covenant! From 'First Strike', they have the Brute (temple guardian), Prophet (ruling caste), and Engineer (peaceful, flood-looking, well... engineers)
