So I just got a longshot for $5 (I love yard sales) and was like "what can I do with an extra longshot?" Turns out I could cram a magstrike into it.


All you need is a longshot, a magstrike, and Samson or Ham Sandwich, 2 of the cutest dogs ever.


First, gut the longshot keeping only the trigger.


Cut the trigger thusly.


Cut along the lines


Longshot cut up


Time to cut the magstrike


Test fit for the bladder and trigger mech.


Just needs epoxy, tubing and rib removal, which is coming soon.

I have a longshot I'm perfectly happy with, I got this one for 5 bucks...why wouldn't I do this?

Will the bladder have room to expand with the trigger right there?

I think it's a neat idea, but you might have gotten a better response if you waited to post until it was done and you had the full write-up.

At first I thought you replaced the breech in the LS with the magstrike bolt to make a full auto ls. And then I see this. You just turned a magstrike into an awkward rush weapon. Your bladder isn't going to have anywhere to expand to either. You would be better off gluing the bladder on top of the longshot and keeping the bladder in there.

I understand the whole notion of "this is mine and I can do what I want cause I have another" but this is pretty much like buying a Porsche and replacing the motor with a V4.

Why would you do it? All that you end up with is a extra long magstrike. With three hours, five dollars, and a dremel bit: gone. But if you're happy with it, who am I to say anything. After all, it is your time and money, not mine.

Nope
