This is my first write-up so bear with me. This took me less than 10 minutes to make with materials I already had laying around. I don't have any in progress photos but I got some that will give you the basic Idea. I'm sure you can whip up a much cleaner one than this but I just had this laying around.

Materials:
1. A ruler or paint stirrer split down the middle
2. A round object with an ID of a little less than 2" (I used a mailing tube)
3. Some duct tape or masking tape
4. A leftover screw from a different blaster
5. A drill
6. A 1/8" drill bit
7. A spectre with the barrel attachment

The first thing you need to do is cut about 2 1/2"-3" of round material.

Next, take the ruler or paint stick and split it in half. I did this by hammering a big nail down the center of it.

Next you want to align the two halves to the first screw of the priming handle and the right before the orange tip on the barrel.

Drill a hole where the ruler lines up with the first screw port of the priming handle on both arms.

Check the alignment of the "arms" and if they are aligned, tape them to the round material.

Drill a hole on the opposite side of the first screw port. Do not make this more than 1/2" deep.

Take the first screw out of the priming handle and put it through the arm and screw it back in.

Take the extra screw and screw the other arm to the priming handle.

Now, you're done! Here's some After the fact photos:

The idea is novel. The execution is... sloppy to say the least.

While using the materials you had on hand may have been quick and easy, the design does not look very sturdy at all. The wood is very thin at some points; it seems like a 12 inch long splinter waiting to happen. The grip itself appears to be made of a cardboard-like material, and the priming bars are taped onto that. The wooden bars also don't seem to be held on very well to the original priming mechanism.

Next time might I suggest:
-Using PVC for the forward grip.
-Using PVC, metal, or a stronger wood than paint stirrers for priming bars.
-Securing the priming bars to the forward grip with solvent weld, epoxies, or screws.
-Securing the priming bars to the original priming handle with bolts and reinforced with an adhesive. Or remove it entirely.

I don't wish to sound as though I'm flaming you. I'm merely offering my constructive criticism. This is a great idea, and I would love for it to be carried out to its fullest potential.

Good job on your first write up. The only issue I see with this is you just made a shitty blaster even worse for ranges and kinda harder to use. Its a great idea but not a great platform.

I agree. This would be better applied to a Longshot or a longstrike or another blaster that could stand to loose a few feet of range with a fake barrel.

Cool! However, I'd suggest against using tape, as that will break VERY quickly. Maybe some screws or other mechanical fasteners? Epoxy/hot glue would NOT be good for this type of adhesion, just warning you. Very cool and innovative! And welcome to the Haven!

Yeah, tape isn't the best but I'm currently using a cardboard mailing tube for the grip lol. I'm gonna try to figure something better out today.

The LongShot has had many mods making it pump action that don't need a fake barrel and the Long Strike has pretty lousy range as well and someone has already done this to a longstrike and I don't think it hurt the range at all.

Very clean! I am surprised no one else has thought of that!

Someone already did this to a longstike.

Using screws would be very hard, as they would have to be quite short, therefore ripping out after a few shots. Duct tape would be a stronger way to connect the priming bars to the tube, one strip of it can hold up to 80 pounds. It also has extremly strong adhesive.

I know by now it seems like I take every opportunity to say the opposite of you, but screws are definitly the way to go. Screws are always more solid than glue, and if you really wanted to, you could just put glue on the screws, and then duct tape over the screws.

Screws in cardboard? If you were using pvc, screws would probably work well.
