Hero is it alright if I bring two small boxes and duct tape to the war so we can play defend the core.

Yeah, that would be cool. I've been wanting to build cores but I haven't had the time or cash.

WEATHER UPDATE


It looks as if it may be raining from the middle of the week to the end of it. If it turns out that this does happen, The war will have to be postponed to any weekend after the 22nd. At this time, the 29th and the 5th seem like good options. I'd like to hear from attendees which weekend is better, or offer an alternate weekend.

I just found two shoe boxes and so we don't waste duct tape I will bring rope.
Edit: Can the war be postponed to a Sunday. I just checked weathe.com and it said it will not rain Saturday.

The 5th would be the best date for me, also I would not be able to attend on any Sunday’s because I have lacrosse games.

I can't make the 29th and it's unlikely I can make the 5th.

Most Sundays would work for me.

Do note, unless it's actually raining come saturday morning, we'll still be nerfing. Regardless of the % of rain, if it's not raining when we start, we'll play through. Remember to bring a sweater just in case.

Of course. I check the weather out of habit every day to make sure I'm not caught with my pants down, so to speak. I'll update Friday night so anyone who expects to show up please read the post.

The 29th is shaky, but I could probably do the 5th. Course, I don't care how hard it rains on whatever date it ends up being on.

Also, to anyone coming, please be sure to bring a stock gun and some streamlines. The parameters of stock are limited to AR removals, and voltage mods, and air release holes plugged. No spring replacements/additions or per-compressions, relabellings, etc. This also means that anything that fires darts larger than megas stock should only be firing (what I assume) will be rockets or arrows. I'd like to get in a "mostly" stock round to change things up a bit..

It's not so much a wet nerfing thing so much as it is a I-know-some-people-have-to-drive-a-long-distance-to-get-here-and-I'd-rather-they-be-safe kind of thing. Like I said, If it starts raining while we're playing, we'll just play through. Also if you wouldn't mind bringing your Carpe stuff, I'd like to try 3 team carpe this time around.

With that said, We'll be starting promptly at 10, regardless of the number of people that are there. So if it's just me and one other guy, you can bet your ass it's going to be me vs you.

Edi: I would also like to try something interesting involving a pinata. Each team will have a designated "batter" and the objective will be to have the "batter" destroy a pinata (which has been in my basement since god knows when) while trying to keep the other team from destroying it first. Basically destroy the objective. I'll go over it in more detail as i get the idea worked out.

If we can't find suitable objects to destroy maybe we can take something from the monster mash type game type (see HBH and massacre nerf wars) and we can shoot out something. For instance at carnivals there is a "shoot out the star" game. We can re do that for nerf. Of course everyone's blasters and darts need to be able to break printer paper.

Will modified Streamlines be allowed (hot glue tipped, BB tipped, etc.)?

So long as it's noting heavier than a BB tip or hot glue, then modified streamlines are ok.

Today was great, Thanks to everyone who showed up. I think we had a good mix up of rounds and teams, which helps keep things fresh and lets everyone have a sweet taste of victory. Hopefully we can get some more attendees for the next war.
