So my birthday is coming up and I just want the head this off before that thread pops up. I'm not really active in this hobby anymore.
All of my free time has disappeared. In the past 2 years I have gotten married, been promoted at work, and purchased a house/evil lair. Out of all 3, the house is eating up the most of my time. Not having the requisite number of henchman has required me to do most of the work.

Lately I've been designing, building, and wiring pneumatic control systems.

As well as powder handling systems.

Goodbye Nerf.

The little critters of nature, they don't know that they're ugly. That's very funny, a fly marrying a bumble bee. I told you I'd shoot, but you didn't believe me. Why didn't you believe me?

And with just over 3K posts, Slugy bites the dust, sorry to see you go dude. Your advancements within the nerf community will live on though, as the mighty +bow has fathered many children.

Bye dude, you will be missed.

I'm the only respectable person here. The rest of the NIC are pretty much just child molesters.

Dear Sir,

I am interested in your opening for henchman. I have strong references, an excellent work ethic, and can start immediately.

Srsly, going to miss you. Your spirit lives on in every slug dart, +bow, 2-11 and variant I'll see. Congrats on getting married, too.

I always liked your work CS. Enjoy your wife, house and job.
It isn't like someone can nerf for their whole lives (realistically) so I am glad to see you have contributed so many amazing things to the community before you left.
Just one question. Will you still be moderating and/or posting on the forums?

You've been one of the true masters of modding. I doubt there has been a single nerfer whom you haven't inspired with some great work of art. It's sad to see you go, but the great thing about marriage - is that the next generation of nerfers are sure to follow, and will need someone to teach them the ways of nerf. Keep your blasters remember your NH password, and we'll see you again when your first one can shoot a NF. Happy trails!

It's truly sad to see a nerfer who has made so much contribution and so much of an impact on the community leave. However, as Chavez said, you can't nerf your whole life. Enjoy your new house, and congratulations on your marriage. Hope to see you back here every so often.

All I can say is.... Whoa. You've been an inspiration behind a majority of my guns for the longest time. Heck even the darts we use are named after you! I really will miss you, you're a sad loss to the community. I wish you lots of luck in life, and always feel free to come back.

If two powerful is a problem then just go with one powerful. I guess this style of hopper will work even beyond three powerful..

-Guns shoot bullets that kill people
-Blasters shoot darts that tag people

I do not play with guns.

Your creations have put me on the path to being a mechanical engineer, inspired me to turn my garage into a machine shop, take Honors Engineering at school, and even do FIRST robotics.

You will be missed Slug.

Captain Slug,

Your innovations to this hobby/sport have taken us further than anything. No more scanning eBay for two months for a Crossbow below $150, thanks to the +Bow, for example. And it's spawned so many miniatures it's one of the great homemades of Nerf.

Congratulations on the marriage, and the nice home, and the promotion. Don't think you can go anywhere but up from here.

Live on.

Well, nerfing isn't all about making guns. I'm sure your future nerf career will be like Favre's, retire every year, but be back for the next season. I know I plan to nerf for the rest of my life. So long as it still exists.

And good luck with your job and marriage.
