I started a Vulcan mod months ago, replacing the batteries with a 12v lead-acid battery and adding a couple of extra circuits for lights and a snazzy old voltmeter. The stuff has been sitting around in pieces on my project table for months, and now that I'm moving, I decided to get it together so I don't lose anything.

I finished the electronics mods and put everything back together to find that I can't manually fire the gun -- when I try to cock it it doesn't lock in, so pulling the trigger does nothing. I assume that using the power firing would have the same problem, but I haven't tested it due to needing to charge the battery. Since it's been months since I disassembled the gun, I don't remember what all the parts are for, and I have a few bits and springs still lying around that I didn't know where to put. Here's a photo of said parts:

Anyone know if these parts are the problem, or if not, what is? I won't be terribly upset if I can't get the thing to work again -- the mod is a little fragile and it wouldn't be the end of the world if it ended up as a display piece -- but I would still like to have the option.

You most likely removed the catch spring by accident (one of the two thinner and wider springs in your picture). It goes right beneath the on/off switch on the catch. Also make sure that you have screwed in all the screws on the internals shell piece before you put the outer shell on.

Are you referring to the spring that goes under the switch in the square hole just above the screw in this photo? If so, that spring is definitely still there. (new switch by the way)

The springs you have go with the orange parts that are there none of which prohibit function. One is a tac rail piece and the other two are for barrel attachments so I don't know how they function on the vulcan.

My best guess is that you might not have lined up the plunger system right. If you could take a picture of the plunger systems setup that could help.

I actually didn't change, or even unscrew, anything involving the plunger system. But here's a photo anyway.

I'm thinking a video of the attempted priming might be called for...
Otherwise I don't think I can see what's wrong.
