A few of my friends and myself have decided that we needed a war a little closer to home, and to commemorate the end of summer vacation and the return to school. So we bring you the NJNO: Battle at Babbage!

Date: September 3rd, 2011
Location: Babbage Park, North Brunswick, NJ (116 Hollywood St, North Brunswick Township, NJ 08902-2455. Plug that into your GPS which will lead you to Parsons Elementary School. The park is right next to the school and you can leave your car in the large lot in front of the park.)
Time: 10ish to 5ish

There is a single pavilion at the park, this is where we'll meet. Try to get there early so we can get some name to faces and so we can start soon. We'll have a quick introduction before we begin. Be sure to bring sunscreen and lots of water. We'll try to have lunch around noon-1ish. There are plenty of places around the area if you wish to get something to eat. Five minutes in either direction from a BK, McD's, Starbucks, pizza places, 7-11, etc.

Rules:
-Eye protection is mandatory.
-No singled Titans/Cobras/Homemade airguns/etc.
-If you plan on bringing a 4B/LBB/UMB/etc it should have the stock OPRV.
-Nothing sharp or pointy on your blaster. Grind down your sharp edges or just don't bring it.
-If your blaster is considered too powerful, we do reserve the right to spot ban it.
-Barrel taps are of course allowed.
-Gun hits count.
-Don't bring all Black or camo guns. You shouldn't be wearing any type of camo either.
-Shields are only to be used in zombie rounds, and no other time.
-We are limiting the age limit to 13 unless your parent is willing to stay the entire time.
-General duchebaggery will not be allowed, and we will tell you to GTFO.

Dart restrictions:
We'll be allowing dome heads and slugs, since I know a lot of people don't like slugs too much. However we ask that if you are bringing domes, that they be lightly weighted. No slignshot weights, etc. #6 or #8 washers, copper BBs, BB fishing weights to name a few examples of the weights you should use.

What to bring:
-At least two primaries
-At least 1 springer pistol
-Stefans
-LOTS of water
-Lunch
-Sunscreen
-Stuff to trade
-A friend
-A good attitude

Game Types:
Most of the game types will be standard 3-15, Deathmatch, Pistols, Zombies, CTF, VIP, Bomb the base, etc. We'll decide on more as the day progresses.

Hmm I would really like to make it out! That is for sure! I am not sure how soon I could make it out to NJ though. I had alot of fun nerfing with you last time and look forward to it again. So at this point I am a very shallow maybe (plus a bunch up to 4 people) but hope to convince my dad to let make it out that way again haha.

I am definitely coming. If someone could make some extra darts for me it would be awesome, power has still not been restored, so I haven't been able to make many. I've got apoc leftovers, so like 50-100 would be great. Slugs springer cpvc fit, common gray foam works. If not that's alright though.

You can poke through my darts bag if you like. There should be about 100 frostking foam darts or so.

Big thanks to everyone who came out and made NJNO a success today. It wasn't too big a war but I think it was a nice size and kept things moving fast. This was my fist time hosting so I'm sure it could be done better. I'd like to know what you guys thought.

Pros
-Worn out
-Good group
-(mostly) fast rounds
-met some different nerfers
-Great time
-Subway

Cons
-One of my SNAP triggers fell off, one would get jammed primed, one had a sub-par air seal (how did I miss these things?)
-Wind
-could probably cut downtime down a bit
-Missing a few people

I'll try to get the ball rolling on one sometime in late october/early november.

Awesome war had lots of fun met new people.

pros:met people,bought some pvc wye's, and hero let me borrow his awesome 3k with raider stock.

cons:wind kept making me miss,getting a bruise by a rain bow pump.

I had a great time at NJNO. First small war, second war overall (APOC 2011 being my first). I must admit I am loving the small wars. Its nice getting to know people, being able to conversate on and off with the same person throughout a day is great. Also getting to know people's playing styles as well as working with them as a team was fun. I felt like part of the community unlike at a huge mega war. Also getting to know people's names/faces was a plus.

+Meeting Redshot, Heavyweight, Langley(For Real this time), TED, DX, Redshot's Dad (Blue Arrow), chubbylad13, and Clowny
+Finally being able to use my longshot that Andtheherois fixed & brassed for me
+Using Redshot's friend's pistol splat
+Having a team that dominated all the Carpe-Cupulum rounds
+Using Andtheherois' SNAP which was solid
+Getting a ride from Andtheherois from the trainstation and back so I could make the war
+Getting consistent hits and not burning through darts
+Nice field
+Everyone was friendly
+Minimal downtime
+Diverse rounds


-Wind/branches/leaves/mud
-Not learning how to use the longshot properly before playing a round with it
-Almost cramped up during a deathmatch
-Not finding many darts during dart sweep
