Oh well. Anyways, these designs seem more complex than many of the cheap ones I've seen here. Like the ones at Backyard Artillery, although they have the awesome Rubber Band machine gun!

I used to love K'nex.
How old is that thing? Looks beautiful.
Not in the game anymore, but it was great while it lasted. Thanks for the great years of fun, NH!

I make all my guns with three things. If you have these three things, it doesn't matter what else you have on it to make it cool.
1. A place to latch the rubber band on at the front of the gun.
2. A vertical place to latch a rubber band on towards the rear of the gun.
3. A trigger system that pushes up along the vertical latch.
Load the band across the latches, and pull the trigger.

Edit: Here's a cheap sketch I made in Paint for you:

Obviously the scale is off, and the pieces can be exchanged for others as the need sometimes calls for. Now it's up to you to integrate that into a gun.
Oh, and this design is merely single shot.

Here's the non-firing vulcan I made:
And here's my M16 before I made it shoot rubber bands:

Actuelly, I just finished one. Quite simple, I took two pieces of wood and screwed them together. Than on the top I glued a cloths pin. Pretty acurate since it is a single shot, but has crappy distance.
