I had some cpvc scraps lying around, and then I saw my longstrike and one thing led to another. Sorry for the post mod pictures, I didn't think about it until I decided to do the write-up.

Let's Get it Started...worst way to start ever.

Materials Needed:
Longstrike
Screwdrivers
Sandpaper or dremel sandbit
CPVC and CPVC T thing
E-Tape and Plumbers Goop
Hacksaw or Dremel Cutting bit


Of course the first thing your going to need to do is remove the air restrictors.

Next, you're going to cut right behind that nub type thing on the bolt.

Then, put the bolt in the T. Sanding may be necessary.

After this, put some kind of priming handle, usually a length of CPVC, on the T and plug it with either foam or an endcap,which I did not have accessible.

The last thing you're going to do is cut the dart tooth receptive thingy (Seen in the picture below) so it can receive the barrel, a length of at least 4 inch CPVC.

This performs on par with my singled longshot with a [k26] spring.

I believe this mod is capable of hitting ranges of 100' angled and if the wind isn't going the wrong way.

Ranges? I'm not trying to be an asshole, but I'm skeptical Because a LStr plunger is way to small to handle such amounts of deadspace.

It actually works like a dream and the dead space hasn't given me any problems yet.

Your singled LongShot doesn't seem to be modded very well if it's only hitting 55' flat (average). The plunger tube and air volume of the LongShot is much greater than the LongStrike's. Although I can believe 50' flat for the LongStrike, singling it doesn't seem to be any better than leaving it clip fed. My lightly modded LongStrike (AR removal and e-tape over the hole) only gets 45' flat, average. Not very impressive, I know, but the rate of fire is well worth losing out on your 5 extra feet.

Your readings of over 60' flat are improbable, in my opinion.... unless you're firing off a 3rd floor balcony.

I don't mean to badger you, but I would just like to tell you angled ranges don't mean shit. No matter how far away from someone you are you are not going to hit them with an angled blaster. But also you must remember unless you get lucky, with the blaster angled flat you will still probably not hit anything more than fifty feet away no matter what blaster you use, do to inconsistent conditions of the surrounding environment such as the domes of the dart, wind, barrel you are using, resistance to air from non aerodynamic darts, and inconsistent velocities from the darts cause by changes with the firing of the blaster, which usually pertains to air tanks that aren't back pressure.

But the moral of this is all of what I just said doesn't matter as long as you are happy with what you have made, which it seems you are so good job with your mod.

I could be convinced of 60' but having a 40' in the same group leads me to believe the 60' was an outlier.

No matter how far away from someone you are you are not going to hit them with an angled blaster.

You should get out and actually nerf before making claims like that. In fact, its rare when I get a hit on someone with a level blaster, I almost always give slight elevation unless they're pretty close. Just a few days ago I got a hit on Freyr with my big blast from well over 100 feet away. Obviously the blaster was angled to be aimed at his torso.

The reason we like flat ranges is because it gives some semblance of a standard to an otherwise incredibly subjective way of measuring performance. The angle doesn't matter as long as its the same across the board. It just happens to be 0 deg because most people wouldn't be able to keep another angle (besides 90, which defeats the purpose) consistent.

And half the time, I'll bet I can't even keep the shot level. My shots always seem to rise even if I try to keep it level.
