The RADS-12 has been known to be in production from earlier info, and I happened to come across one at my Kmart for $9.99!

On the back, you see the lineup for this fall's new blasters/recolorings.

This is the turret in operation. You can see from the first to last photo, that the individual turrets themselves rotate. So you shoot one dart at a time.

Pics of the front and back of the turret. It may be possible to have rear loading on the sides, but that'll be determined later. If the flash wasn't too blinding, then you should be able to see the gears that turn the mini turrets as the main one rotates.

Finally, the internals. The spring is pretty darn strong, compared to some of the other Buzz Bee blasters. Same draw as other Buzz Bee blasters, though.

This thing is primed Luger-style, with the lever on top. Stock, it's getting 20-25 feet. I'll see what I can do with it. Who knows, if the rear loading works, and a plunger tube replacement is possible, we could have a beast here, with proper reinforcement. In any case, basic modding would yield a decent secondary.

Maybe its just me but i enjoy BuzzBee blasters a lot.
They have some really innovative designs. And for the price i find them as fun if not more fun then Nerf.

Agree'd. I feel that Nerf is starting to spiral downwards after the Longshot. That was the last good gun Nerf made IMO. But I think BuzzBee and AirZone are climbing the ranks in terms of value, durability, and modability.

I never would have guessed that it operated like that. when I first saw it I thought it would shoot 3 darts at a time, Lanard shotgun style. BuzzBee do know how to pull off some crazy unique blasters, like the Berserker.

A quick question. how good is the turret to plunger seal?

It's so very gimmicky, which can be a good thing.

I'm guessing that the barrels rotate correctly when you manually advance the turret as well, right?

Yep, they rotate correctly when you do it manually. Which might be good, b/c a PT replacement would probably require getting rid of the stock rotation mech.

So each cycle the whole turret assembly rotates 90 deg, and each sub-turret rotates by 120 deg.

Correct me if I'm wrong on this, but the plunger tube feeds directly to the sub-turret, right? If so does it mean that there might be issues with the gears surrounding the back face of the turret chewing up any material that's put between the plunger and turret to improve the seal?

That's actually a pretty cool gun. 2 quick questions-
Whats the Plunger Tube ID? And How much draw is there?
I can't wait to see one of these things modded.

@Lucian, its about the same size as a tek 6 plunger.

@238232 yes, and maybe, it looks like there's a gap between the gears and the actual sealing surface.

Where the fuck is the spring rest!? It looks like it rests on the priming lever.

When he took it apart, the spring popped out of place.

I like it, but I don't see an easy way to make it rear loading. It is possible, I can see it being modded to work with a quadshot. Which would be really nice.

OMG!!! So many ideas!!! Over whelmed with brain sparks!!! MUST GET!!!

It looks gimmicky enough to make it worth while! And there's no way to hopper that sucker! HAHA!!!

In 10 years, this will be one of those vintage blasters.

Well, they're doing that deliberately. The liability of modded guns isn't something they wanted, so they made more reverse plungers. As far as a well-rounded primary goes, Airzone and BuzzBee are getting better, but they need to stop making silly blasters with no plunger tube size. At least this one is neat.

If I got one, my first order of business would be to stick a 3K or something in it.
