How does your blaster compare against someone else's? That question can be asked in many different contexts. You might want to beat the performance of someone else's gun. You might want to set that as the upper limit of performance. You might want to match it.
What works best? Often people don't know what works best until some tests are done. And there basically aren't any tests posted, so we don't know much.
I've collected two of the more important tests I've done and some links to other tests I've found here: http://btrettel.nerf...ums/forum6.html
My tests are more concerned with improving my mathematical models of Nerf guns, but someone still might find them to be useful.
I'd suggest that if you have any test data, post it here, post it at my Nerf Engineering forum, and/or post it somewhere else. Putting this data to use is a lot better than letting it collect dust in a notebook or in a spreadsheet.
Here's some good data at NH:
The ranges of many blasters with different darts
Dart spinning tested
The muzzle velocity of a Titan
RSCBs vs BRISCs vs singled barrels
Rifled PETG tested
Ranges of a modified Titan
Ranges of a +bow with many different dart and barrel combinations
Muzzle velocities of many modified and homemade Nerf guns
Tests cxwq did in the early days of NH
