First: take the gun apart.

Second: plug the air release hole in the pump.

Third: there is a white plastic gasget that creates a seal between the firing mechanism and the turret, it has a spring on it, replace that with something more solid, like three layers of 16 guage wire.

Fourth: unscrew the blue seperator from the back of the turret.

Fifth: remove with any means nesecarry, without destroying it, the orange cap at the end of the seperator. KEEP THIS!!!

Sixth: cut off the little tabs that stick out from the barrels over the blue sepaeator.

Seventh: place the barrel assembly, as it is now (as in at this point in the mod) barrels down on a hard surface, put a finishing nail upside down in one of the small holes (not the screw holes, nor the holes that lead to the barrels) and tap the nail with a hammer until the blue seperator comes off.

Eighth: heat up each barrel until it's uncomfortable to hold with a hair dryer, or heat gun, at which point the barrels should just snap off with a little elbo grease. KEEP THESE!

Ninth: cut off the top 3/8" of the stock barrels

Tenth: cut eight ten-inch sections of Rain bird E-Z pipe, you can get it at lowes in the sprinkler section (CPVC should work good as well, but I'm not sure, and it's also heavier, so, that's not as good)

Eleventh: wrap one end of the new barrels in masking/electrical/duct tape until it fits tightly into the stock mounting points.

Twelfth: slip, (or force if you have to) the 3/8" pieces of stock barrel over the other end of the new barrels and superglue it into place.

Thirteenth: shove the new barrels all the way into the stock mounting points. (the tape end)

Fourteenth: pull the new barrels together around the orange cap so the pieces of stock barrel are in the slots in the orange cap thing, and superglue it all into place.

Fifteenth: reassemble the gun

Sixteenth: NERF!!!!

This mod is a redo of my old SM3K mod, which if I posted this mod update in that thread, I'd be preforming a double sin, 1. double posting, 2. bringing back old topics.

And the moment You've all been waiting for, the ranges. Drumroll please!

Ba dum, Ba dum, Ba dum, Ba dum, Ba dum, Ba dum, Ba dum, Ba dum, Ba dum, CRASH!

120-140' FLAT 180-200 angled, with four pumps. BELIEVE IT!

Anyway, I don't believe your ranges. There's no way that air tank can generate that kind of velocity, even if it weren't for the turret air loss.

Truly... I tried single barrel brass on a Yellow SM3k and it didn't even come close to 100' flat.

1st, I'm pumping this four times, with one pump, the dart doesn't even leave the barrel.

I can understand you're disbelief of the ranges, and since all you have is my word to go on, you might never believe me, but it's true, 120-140 flat, 180-200 angled.

where I live. you can see at the end of the driveway, a blurry woodpile, well, if you can't see the end of the driveway, look for the woodpile, by the way, it's about 5' tall.
