So this is all of the shit that I'm bringing tomorrow for the war.



I'm going to be video taping every round that I can (Including getting to the war and going back) so I can get a pretty good video to share with you guys. My dad will also be taking pictures throughout the war as well to help contribute to the video. If you guys have any pics that you want to be included in the video, pm me them after the war and i'll put them in the video.

If you guys have cell phones, please keep them on you at all times, due to the heat. We want to be as safe as possible.

Is the Black/Red longshot the singled one in our deal ?

I would love to put some video coverage if I can get any on my Droid onto my Nerf youtube channel.

Morning of the war! All packed, pumped, and ready to go! If we don't all melt, should be a fun day!

Great war! I had lots of fun with everyone there! It was awesome to meet all of the dc guys (Including the new ones).

Pros-
Great war
Got to use my snap
Got $45
Got to meet new people
Got to meet old friends
Got to nerf with Cranky
Took about 15 minutes of footage
It was held in the lab
People lent me darts because I didn't have any (Thanks Ryan and Jesse)
Got to see some cool guns
Got to use my tiny Tim for a round
Watching chaos getting owned by a guy with a stock rf20 and a stock ds!

Cons-
It was hot as hell!
The frozen water bottles didn't unfreeze so we couldn't get much water out of them
My chopper didn't work after the 3rd round
DTC sucked
CTF wasn't that great
My pas broke (Thanks a lot zach, jk)
Didn't get that many kills
We only had 8 people!!! Where were the other 4?
Didn't buy anything
2-3 people came late
Had to end the war at 2:15 because of the heat
Only took one pic
Didn't do dart sweeps
It was hot as hell

I'll update this post with the one pic I took at the end after I take a nap... I'll probably finish uploading the video tomorrow or monday.

I went to Subway on my way home, I was like 97.5% close to heat exhaust fainting, Couldn't walk, hear or breathe, but it didn't happen at the war so It's cool, lol.

Glad I got out of there when I did. Before this war, I never used a gun that I fully trusted. Now, I trust my RF20 and I even got to get a few kills with a Double Shot. Also, I learned that I shouldn't crawl under the catwalks in the temp building area. I actually was surprised by the number of melee kills I got during the pistol round.

Wow, what a day!

Pros:
-Wasn't AS hot as expected, but was still hot...not "fainting" hot though.
-Everybody drank lots of water.
-I didn't have to sit any rounds out this time due to headache/nausea.
-Got to nerf with Sharvil, Landstricker, Joe, and Zac(k/h) again.
-Got to meat a bunch of cool guys: Eboreg, Keo, Christian, Cranky.
-Got to bring a guest
-Didn't run out of darts.
-Got to nerf with/meet Cranky.
-Not as much downtime between rounds as last time.
-Came home with some sweet welts, as well as the sweet knowing that I gave others some noice welts.
-Got a warthog (thanks Keo) as well as a UMB (thanks Christian).
-Dean, Christian, Jonathan, and I stayed/played 'till 3:30
-No one fainted!
-I inspired Cranky to build a snap.

Cons:
-Only 9-10 people
-Didn't get as many darts back, since we didn't do frequent dart sweeps.
-Jonathan, Dean, and I had to clean up and collect ALL the darts. Took us half an hour.
-It was hot. Very hot.
-+bow broke.
-3k sprung a leak, AGAIN.
-Sharvil's PAS broke.
-People left at 2:3, leaving only 5 of us.
-We didn't get so much footage.

All in all, this was a great and fun war, and I hope we have more DCNFs in the future. August anyone?

Just putting it out there I picked up every brightly colored dart and any nearby Stefans noticed like 20 mintues before I left.

For August, weekends of the 6th and 20th work best for me, unless it's near Bowie.

If a war were to be on on one of ^ those 2 dates/weekend, i'd like to try to Getty Park, I think I MIGHT be able to get more guests since that's semi near one of my homes and Christian's. Only, all my outside friends (maybe minus Christian now, IDK ?) have stock only.

DCNF July 23 FULL Report.
Pros:
Met some awesome new people
Got awesome trades for stuff I wanted gone
Good deals.
Everyone is honest.
Organization was WAYYY better than UMD
People liked my paintjobs
I was the oldest player for a while
Running around with just blades/spectre I did myself and doing okay for the condition I was in
Teaming with Sharvil for the pistol round
More players came frequently
Essentially got 2 18 Mags for $5 and my second painted gun ever.
The next one is already in the talks
My dad's going to Walmart and getting spray paint, hot glue and epoxy so I can attempt to fix up some guns and paint them
I know I already mentioned trades but, GETTING RID OF MY WARTHOG

Cons:
HEAT.
Apparently to my dad "Wake me up at x time" means knock on my door and tell me once, on a morning of 4 hours of sleep.
I felt like the only person besides my own +1 to not have a boss primary for the whole thing.
Not everyone had atleast 1 Melee :/
Nearly heat collapsed in Subway on the way home.
The set up of the temp buldings
The SnowCon I traded had no catch spring and the stock spring (I said it was getting stock ranges before trade)
Glare was so bad I couldn't see my phone in camcorder mode.

War was definitely great, the best way to end a nerfing hiatus, if I may say so myself.

It was a lot of fun to meet all the new DC-area nerfers and see that the region is still going strong, I look forward to nerfing with everyone again soon. Next time I might have to pay more attention to having my guns in working order, but the dual pistols is ever reliable. My priorities were straight anyways, I had a sexy shirt for the war.

Despite the temperature, we all held up quite well, though a 104 degree heat index is sure to shorten your nerfing day.

I definitely fell in love with that SNAPbow and look forward to making one, hopefully before Apoc.

Hope to see everyone at the next war.
