Date: July 3rd

Time: 11ish - 5ish

Where: Picnic Area #5

Address for your mapping site of choice: Park Dr, West Allis, WI 53227

In case someone ninja-reserves the site, we will nerf in the same park, but at site #3
Also note, Park drive has been made into a walking trail in-between site #5 & #3. You would need to take 116th to Lincoln, then to park drive to get from #5 to #3

What to bring:

+ At least 1 pistol for the pistol rounds.
+ Melee Weapon if preferred. Your melee weapon can only be 2-4 feet long and less than 1 ft wide. Any melee weapon may be disallowed if I deem it unsafe (this has only happened once, let's keep it that way)
+ Enough ammo
+ Eye protection is mandatory
+ A bag lunch with plenty of water or some other type of drink
+ Appropriate clothing

What not to bring:

- Painful darts. Only slugs and stock darts are allowed. No domed darts are allowed
- Anything that could inflict a welt from 20 feet away or closer. Have doubts? Don't bring it.
- Anything painted entirely black, silver, or any form of camouflage.

Relevant Information:

~West coast rule-set

~ Don't be afraid to ask questions! The only dumb question is the one not asked.

~ Anybody is welcome to attend, including family and friends. Said people should be 13 years of age or older.

~ If any guns have any sharp or pointy objects on it, try and duct tape it down. This is mainly for Toaster boy. Hopefully he'll show up for once

~ Barrel taps: Must tap then discharge your loaded blaster on the ground immediately after. Blow guns may not barrel tap due to this being much akin to a melee weapon

~Classes will make a return for some rounds probably:

Medic: Reduce respawn to 5 seconds. Limited to single pistol/melee. Has 20 second respawn
Spartan: Only person with shield in class-rounds (provided). Limited to melee (provided if preferred).
Engineer: Movable mobstacle (provided) Limited to single pistol/melee.

~ Shields are allowed in rounds where classes are not involved, for primaries you may have a small shield, pistol; medium, melee...just don't bring a brick wall or something.

Possible Game-types:

Chaos/Meatgrinder/Immortal/Style round

Zombie Rounds

Capture the Flag

Attack / Defend

+ More

Wish I could go, but I have no way to get there and my mom won't let me drive up to Wisconsin with my buddys.

If you are part of the 8% who would say "Jump B****, JUMP!!!!" . . .

I make no guarantees, but I'll try and make it up there.

Don't worry so much about what other people will allow. Throw your own wars and kick your friends' asses until they all want one.

I'll kick off the recappin' goodness.

Great googly moogly, that's how it's done. A fantastic MANO as always, thanks to Hummer for hosting. A good crowd (18 or so), and ended up with a decent area to play, despite a large chunk of the park being reserved by July 4th revelers. This war was a fine example of why I Nerf: ridiclousness punctuated by moments of awesome (and vice versa).

And now, the Moments of Win and Fail.

+ Nerfing with Snake and LiterSize again. It's been way too long (And apparently, I am the cause of LiterSize rage.)
+ FISHY FISHY FISHY. Seriously, that gun rocks, and is exactly what pistol rounds should be about. Thanks for letting me use it, Lou.
+ The five minute axe and shield duel with one of the many Brians in attendance. We squared off near the end of the day, and started at it. We decided to finish the duel, despite Brian getting tagged by a teammate. I ended up getting a lucky jab at his kneecap. Well met, you are an honorable adversary!
+ The SNAP/Revolution continues to work well. I need to fix the front bushing, but the catch is holding up very well.
- The SNAP/Revolution sidearm....not so much. The particular design I have now needs work.
- I need to build a decent pistol, dammit.
+/- For the first time ever, I only brought two blasters to a Nerf war....and left the SNAP-1 at home. The times, they are a changin'.
+ "God dammit, Carbon, you're too old to be that fast!"
+ Getting a bunch of good sprints in during the day, including running back the flag.
+ Not getting the "I'm too old for this shit" feeling.
+ Soviet Pac-Man. It seemed to end quickly, but I think part of it was that allowing a DTG sort of unbalanced the game.
+ HYDRATING.
+ Not a single glue dome to be seen.
- Face shots still hurt.
+ A nice mix of blasters, and the field had enough cover that I got taken out by stock ammo plenty of times.
+ Actually recovering a fair number of my darts. (Actually, all but 20. INSANE. Pink foam helps a lot
+ My first batch of slugs actually holding up pretty well. They didn't seem to be exploding with the tree shots I was making, anyway.
+ Nerf Dad!
+ Finding out that Demon Lord is Hummer's dad. (!!)
+ The Z-Curve Bow. Crazy power and accuracy, and almost made the engineer class useless. This style needs to be recreated in a homemade, pronto.
+/- Getting my foam morning star blown apart right next to my face by one of those bows. Whoa.

Looking forward to seeing the pics, Liter, and for the next MANO.

Good to finally be back in Wisconsin for a good war. Decent location if you can forgive the placement of main roads on either side of the but a TON of good cover to make up for it.

+Fairly even teams with even skill level. Long range homemades went toe to toe with near stock nerf guns.
+Decent dart recovery
+CTF actually working out. The Engineer class did help it work to make the type quite fun.
Jury is out on Soviet Pac-Man
+FISHIE FISHIE FISHIE, one of the MANY unexpected things I heard.
+"Hey, I'm a distraction."
"Yet another thing from you that has passed into legend."
+So many new faces, so many returning old faces.
+"You're plus 3 vs noobs."
+The bows wielded by people. The box didn't lie about ranges and are great long range support versus shield users.
+None of my blasters broke. Whoo!
-Every time someone else wields my plus bow it seems like those darts guide towards heads. I really should look into this problem.
+/-Minor incident with some misunderstood etiquette and a short fuse lead to a confrontation which was handed well by the mature adults there...i.e. all the nerfers present.
+Some jokes were mistaken, some shots were taken, but all was well in the end (I hope)
-Missed out on an axe fight.

See you at the next war!

+z-curve bow. All I have to say is damn, at the beginning of the day I was decent with it at the end I was pegging people from 100ft. The box lied it said it shoots 125 ft its more like 150ft.
+Nerfing with Carbon, Milwaukee guys, newcomers, and the Chicago guys
+Winning at zombies without hiding at all
+No heat stroke, but only after about 5 liters of water.
+5 bow volley
+Hearing someone else say fishy, fishy, fishy with as much delight as I do.
+/- using my sm5000 and tornadobow for all of 3 rounds then picking up the z-curve bow in favor of its range and killing power against those pesky engineers.
-People not thinking before they do something
-My fingers now have blisters in the place where I would hold the arrows.

This was a great war the location was hastily found, but it turned out to be great. Milwaukee nerf is great because of all the craziness, and the unusual.
