So from what I've seen people have manged to get rubber bands around the front of this blaster and somehow into the middle on the ring for more range. How do people get it into the middle of the ring? Do I have to tie it around something else back there?

Sorry for the noob question, I'm barely starting to get into nerf modding.

I would recommend mini bungee cords. But, if you're set on using a rubber band, you can put one side though the loop on the pull back handle and then put the other side of the rubber band through the other side of it over the handle. This makes it stay on the handle, and you'll just need to find a place for the other end (which would go under the barrel and above the ammo holders).

Mini bungee cords do sound easier to put on. Where can I get them? I did a quick search and Lowes poped up. Is there any other places where I can get them? and What length do the cords have to be?

I believe that True Value Hardware carries tiny bungee cords....I think they're about 4"?

I do this for Nightfinders too(so the band doesn't slip off) I cut a slit into the "loop" to put in one end of the band and then putty the loop shut. Sounds complicated but it can take a beating without the band falling off.

I drill 4 holes in the main body for the bungee hooks:

Mini bungee cords are available at pretty much any larger hardware store. They are quite cheap too. Be safe with the metal tips though, make sure the holes you drill hold them securely and the force is somewhat balanced(Otherwise your catch might not engage or you might not be able to disengage it.) Also, If you cut a rubber band you can super glue the ends back together (Overlap them for more surface area) to make a ring around whatever you want.

If you just get a long enough rubber band, you can slip one end over the barrel area, run it along the side of the blaster, through the loop in the pull-handle, along the other side, and then slip the other end over the barrel. (The two ends of the band should now form an X on the top and bottom of the barrel area.)
