A little over a month ago, I did a simple 1/2 inch PVC mod to my EAB. However, I was really unsatisfied with the low ranges I got. I came up with an idea that I figured would dramatically increase the range of the gun. I cut a one inch piece of 17/32 brass, and placed it in a foot of 9/16 brass. I wrapped some duct tape around the brass and placed it 17/32 end first into the PVC barrel. Then, I shoved an (approx.) 5/8 piece of brass into the remaining space of PVC, and then I placed a 4 inch piece of PVC over that about 1 inch. I had attached a coupler onto the PVC before I put it on, and I put it on the brass coupler first. The coupler conceals the brass, and retains a 3/4 ID foam insulator bayonet from sliding back (If it were not there, the person I was stabbing [the "stabbee"] would be killed). I added 4 large rubber bands around the scope (which I didn't saw off), which then attached to the rear of the cocking handle. I get ranges of anywhere between 75-95 feet.
My question is, has anyone else done this (honestly)? Most people said "Oh, CXWQ has most likely done this."

Anyway, my EAB is named Sven, and all it really needs a paint job.

Well, I've done a brass EaB though I didn't go to all the trouble you did and I don't do bayonets.

I did a 12" long 19/32" brass barrel that's slightly oversized for my darts. This works nicely with the fast/weak air delivery of the EaB and makes it easy to muzzle load the darts since they slide all the way down when I cock it. I also did a spring replacement so I don't need to band. I get about 80' level and 105' angled with micro stefans.

There's really no need to use a nested/telescoped brass barrel with the EaB since the air delivery characteristics are more like an air gun than a typical spring gun. That massively oversized plunger is the main reason it's my favorite gun.

When I was modding mine, the little part that holds the head of the plunger in place broke because I put in a spring that was overpowered. So I went out and bought another one, thanks to a consignment store, and fininshed the mod. Now it works rather well. I'm considering brassing mine now, thanks to all the attention that it's gotten.

Frenzy, that happened to mine too and I filled it up with tons of epoxy but it didn't hold. Duct tape was actually able to hold it for a couple days at a time but eventually I gave up on it. For any good modders out there, I think that there is enough room under the barrel to integrate an at2k. I need to run to TRU and buy one, then do some handy work with my hack saw.

That is similar to the Sven 2 concept, where I planned to inegrate a 1500 underneath. I realized that it wouldn't fit. However, if you do an extrogration, it may work. Unfortunately, that broke my 1500 internals.

A solely brass barrel not covered in PVC will fit I am almost positive.
