Derek/Ryan: Good point. Go ahead and weight them as you choose, Derek. Just make sure that they are safe and adequately padded. #10 washers would be ideal in my mind, just because it's consistent with the regulations for micros. As far as making tips that fit #10 washers, a
punch set and craft foam can do the job.
Archangel: We should be able to spot you some darts. It is possible to make acceptable darts with only locally available supplies, which is usually what I do. Read my posts in
this topic about using craft foam tips.
This goes out to everyone. I know a lot of you don't bother making darts much of the time, but it is really lame when a war falls apart because there aren't enough darts. Last SPANO was awesome, much of it was due to having a ridiculous number of darts at our disposal. For the newcomers, make sure you're darts are up to specifications. I don't want any cheap maneuvers like extra BBs under washers. All tips must be either the standard 1/8" Thick McMaster felt pads or Craft Foam that is at least 2mm thick. Make sure the washers are being covered properly by padding.
