I'll be there. And would any of you guys go to a war/mod party/Barbecue here in fremont? Like sometime during spring break, there's quite a few good hardware stores nearby (an Osh half a mile away, a home depot which is just down the street, a dale hardware a few blocks away, an Ace a couple miles, plus a TRU, target, and some other good places within a few miles) which would be good for a mod party, and a few parks perfect for a war. We could have a barbecue and mod party at my house, and a war at which ever park you guys like the most in my area.

Randomly different size and color words make it more difficult to follow a post. This is especially true of information heavy posts in "alternative" formats.

Couldn't resist. Still, it's true.

Is that park near a BART station? I might be able to go.

I believe that Aquinas has taken Bart to the war before, use the public transportation option on google maps to see how far away it is from you.

Thread has been updated with latest attendance as well.

The closest BART station to the park is Union City.

Run a quick search on Google Maps and it'll show you the fairly straight-forward route. You essentially walk west on Alvarado Niles for about 5-6 miles. I walked in about half an hour.

The average walking speed is about 3mph, if you took half an hour to walk the distance is probably only around 1 mile.

Just double-checked the distance on Google Maps. It's 2 miles. On average, I can walk a mile in 15 minutes, so the half-an-hour walk time is on the mark for me. I tend to walk briskly anyhow, out of my usual habit of (attempting to) beat hoards of travelers at passport control checkpoints.

Bottom line: a 2 mile walk should be manageable for most within 30 - 45 minutes. Search for "Union City BART" and "William Cann Memorial Park, Union City, CA" on Google Maps.

Damn rain! Why don't we shoot the clouds out of the sky and it woudn't rain anymore? Oh yeah, we have to use real guns to kill them. But seriously, I'm not taking bart from SF all the way to union city just to get turned back by crap weather.

Alright, bad weather has made conditions too poor for the war to happen. We'll just continue with 19 in April.
