So i was browsing ToysRus to see if there are any deals on guns, when I came across the Sonic line. My god those things are incredibly ugly! Neon Greenyellowish Piss is not a good color on guns.

Seriously? I love the clear series as they look really cool, In fact if I bought one, I would not use it, I would shelf it. But really, piss greenyellowish is not the right color for anything. So to give some discussion value, do you think Nerf is going recolor crazy with there "Most popular guns" which just happen to include some of there newer guns. Or do you welcome the new colors?

OFFTOPIC: I was on ToysRus, I broke them. I added 99 of every gun I liked into my cart, 4 types of darts, 99 packs each.....$16,468.78! I had 787 items in my cart. 1k shipping, but I got $20 off because it was more than $100....JUST $20!!!!

Is it stupid according to most of us? Probably. Does it get more parents to buy the cool green Tacticool blaster for their child, regardless of the .001% of Nerfers who actively mod stuff? Yes.

So what, not everyone here likes it. But it makes them money, thus the reason it exists.

I agree with that. Nerf should be focused on giving us better guns then releasing different shells for year old guns. I think special shells should only be released for anniversaries of sorts.

I would be very surprised if the profit made from new color shells wasn't many times the amount spent to make those new colors in the first place. It's not a waste because they would be manufacturing the same blasters anyways, only now people who already own them have a reason to buy again.

So nerf is getting way more money to spend on new designs this way then if they saved the insignificant amount of cash needed to change colors.

I think my main gripe with it, is that the whole damn thing is a sea of Neon Green. It needs something to compliment it. Throw some black accents on there, a black grip, just something to compliment the large amount of green.

Well, you do say in the op that you wanted to buy a clear series vulcan just to sit on your shelf. I wouldn't get this because I'm not a huge fan of the vulcan, but I do have a nitefinder and will be buying a maverick in neon green because I like the color.

You're right though, the little kids and parents that make up the vast majority of nerf consumers are the ones who will buy this. I just wanted to say that nerf isn't wasting their money.

Making these blasters green, or any color for that matter costs hasbro nothing more than any other color, once the molds are made it's just a matter of changing the pellet hopper. As such this is genius for them, you know there are plenty of people out there that see " limited edition color" and just have to have one even though they have a blue, yellow and clear recon propped up next to the bed no woman will ever lay in.

Indeed I would. And your right, there not losing money because like the poster said above me, they just pay for the color of the green. Personally, I would take clear over green because those are my tastes. I just think Nerf should focus on some new guns, preferably N-Strike (grenade launcher accessory?) because they already have, what 5 new Dart Tag guns coming out. It seems they ditched the orange/green guns because all of the new DT guns are yellow.
