Date:
-May 28, 2011

Location:
-General Getty Park, Silver Spring, MD (Google it!)
-Picnic tables, can't miss 'em. It's a pretty small park but makes for some fun nerfing.

Time:
-10 AM til whenever we feel like ending

Rules:
-No JOBARs, No Cobras, no singled Titans, no singled SM5Ks, no singled plugged-pump airguns designed to shoot anything larger than a Mega dart. (If you are unsure about whether your blaster fits this description, bring a back-up just in case.)
-No exposed metal barrels
-No blasters painted flat black
-No dressing up in camouflage
-Bring a pistol or two. We will be having pistol-based rounds.
-Bring some other weird crazy fun blasters. Ball guns, proprietary missiles/arrows, whatever.

Shields:
-Manta Rays and Laser Fang wings only.

Melee:
-Melee hits count as barrel "taps". If your melee weapon gets shot it counts as a blaster hit.

Lunch:
-Pack one. There are places to eat within driving distance, not really walking distance.

Match Types:
-Deathmatch (3-15, 5-20, etc.)
-Not Deathmatch (will figure out what once I get a better idea of who will be attending)

The 21st and 28th would probably work best for me, and General Getty park would be ideal.

All the dates work for me. Reston is too far for me so I say Getty park.

The 14th would work, and maybe the 28th would too but I'm not sure yet.

The 21st and 28th are the best dates for me. There is a far lower chance that I could do the 14th.

Also, my only concerns about the location is that I can either take Metro, ride my bike, or a combination of the two to get there. If someone would be willing to give me a ride, this is not an issue.

Getty and I don't know of any date issues as of now. Hope I can get these silly eliminators modded. My SNAP is working again though, so that'll be fun.

Both areas are 3 hours away, I'm pretty doubtful since my dad says no and my mom says no. I'll try to hook a ride.

General Getty is about 8 blocks from the Forest Glen Metro, on the east end of the Red line.

Bruin Park is kind of far out there, and can only be reached on Fairfax Connector. I took the bus out there two years ago for SuperNoVA, but it took a long time to get there from DC.

Alright, does anyone have a glaring objection to the 21st at General Getty Park?

I don't think I can make it the 21st, but I could make it the 28th.
Getty park is fine.

I'd most likely be able to make the 21st, and Getty Park is good.

I have a big baseball game on the 21st, so I can't make that one. Bruin is best for me, but if the crowd wants getty, go getty.

So does the 28th work for everyone, then?

Bump for forum un-hacking.

28th it is. 10 AM, General Getty Park.

If there is a game type anyone wants to play, please let me know ASAP so I can brush up on the rules and get any equipment we might need (flags, cores, etc.)

Well, I went ahead and gave myself a third degree shoulder separation during a game of HvZ so unless I heal up real fast I'm not going to make this one.

As of now, I'll be there. I think 3/15, Wingman, CTF, Zombies, melee, and possibly Defend the Core would be nice.

I'll be too busy to participate this time around.

Get better soon T dog!

I'll be working in Gaithersburg at NIST this summer, so I'd be interested in some weekend wars in the area then. Let's keep this up.

Ouch! Get better soon, T-dog!

As for other weekend wars, I'd be up to hosting more if we get a decent turnout for this one. Maybe one in June. I'll be in DC all summer.

Any way you could update the first post Dizzy with the final date, time, place, attendees? That would really help in attracting more people as well as convincing the ones on the fence to be definites...
