Just wondering if anyone here at this site plays counter strike either the new one(condition zero) or the old one? If you do please reply back here, also if you do play what is your favorite gun from both counter-terrorist/terrorist.

I play whenever I get the chance (CS 1.6), yes it's a fun addicting game. Sometimes I have bad days which can be frustrating, sometimes I have good days being the highest scorer on the team, but it' always fun times, unless there's hackers involved, which sucks.

Let's see...
Fav. CT only gun: M4
Fav. T only gun: SSG552

I figure anybody who likes nerf will like a combat game like CS B)

i stopped playing a little before the latest update. my friend has the newest version and i think its crap. guns hardly have any recoil and people with hardly any skill get tons of headshots. i also cant stand that huge indestructable riot sheild.

I'm pretty good at counter-strike, I'm in a clan which competes in Cal-IM. Of course I don't compete, that shit takes up too much time. Since the riot shield is banned in Cal, most servers I play on don't allow them because they pretty much make you invincible.

I play once in a while. I used to play regular CS, but for some reason Steam will not accept my CD key, so I play Condition Zero nowadays. Yes, the Riot shield is a pain in the ass, but that's nothing a well placed HE grenade can't handle. I think that the AWP loser rifle is much more annoying.

1.6? Condition Zero? Not the way to go, guys. Classic 1.5 for me. None of that Riot stuff... None of that over-rated re-release stuff...

I don't enjoy FPS games but I do enjoy nerfing. You can't compare a real physical activity to the virtual equivalent.

As an aside, whoever decided to write FPS games for consoles should be shot. The only thing that could have possibly made FPS less fun was taking away the mouse.

I agree, clunky console controllers (*cough* Xbox *cough*) and FPS games do not mix. It's a bitch to aim with control sticks, but with a mouse, I can get a good, easy aim on my targets.

Yes, outdoor activities like nerfing are more enjoyable than sitting in a house all day playing video games, so I don't play CS too much.

Its really easy to get used to xbox controlers. I myself have played both. Computer older versions and xbox one. I find that when you get used to it they are both quite easy.

I guess if you are using the newer Xbox controllers, it's not so bad, but I think I'll just stick to my mouse for playing FPS games.

Mouse and keyboard is the way to go. If they made a sort of gaming mouse for consoles, it would be fine... but none of this joystick crap.

Anyways, I don't play CS. I played it once with a bunch of friends at an internet cafe once and did reasonably well (2nd out of about 10). My favourite types of games are the older shooters like Medal of Honor, Call of Duty, Battlefield 1942/Vietnam. I'll also play UT every so often. BUT, the best shooters ever created (in my opinion) has to be Max Payne 1 and 2.

I don't know about that, Cx. I kinda like the fact that people can't double-click my face for an insta-kill with their loser rifle.

I don't play CS, I play Firearms. I've just found better crowds there... Plus, I can't stand the bullet lag. If the bullet takes out my leg, go ahead, take out my leg, but don't glue my feet to the floor.

<a little off topic> I have played both Halo on Xbox and on the computer. The computer was something like 2.8 Ghz. I dunno, ask Bobert. His computer.
There are some things I like about both, some things I don't like. On the PC version, it was very easy to aim, but it was a little hard for me to get used to the controls. I found it harder to move in certain directions and with the ease of a joystick.
On Xbox, the controls are easy and I can move freely. But its a lot harder to go for precision shots, and I HATE wasting shots. Hell, one on one in Halo, I'll only shoot if I have to or if they're right in the pistols sight.
All in all, each has pros and cons. I didn't play the computer version as much as the console, so I'm sure that there are some fallacies in my logic. </a little off topic>

As far as FPS' go, I really like Metroid Prime. And for multi, Halo and James Bond.

Metroid Prime is a great game, and Bond, especially Golden Eye for thr N64 was the schizznit. My problem with FPS console games is that I first off usually do not play them often, and I find the controls difficult to get used to. I am sorry if I was being biased. I admit, there are several great console FPS games out there.

I play CS regularly and I am part of Pirate's Life (PirL). GunnedDown is actually part of the clan, too. You can check us out here:

www.pirlgaming.com

We play both Cal-O, and TGL leagues.

Drop by the server sometime at night and you'll probably find me there.
