Would it be best to leave the stock barrel in a Nite-Finder or replace it with some other material?
I have CPVC and PVC to replace it with, as well as a drill to bore out pipes if need be.

Replace it, CPVC and 17/32 brass work very well on stock darts.

Do I need to bore the CPVC out at all? I find that twisting the darts in can tear the adhesive and may be a bit too much friction for it's own good.

If you ream the inside lip of the CPVC out, they slide in easier.

If you are using CPVC with a coupler, you should at least ream out one of the ends of the barrel. I would recommend using a pipe reamer or scissors, both work well.

Your best bet is to put a cpvc coupler on the night finder plunger tube (either epoxying one inside of the plunger tube after dremeling to fit or put a 3/4 pvc coupler over the plunger tube, nest a 3/4 to 1/2 inside that and hammer a sanded down cpvc coupler into that" Then use 3-4 inches of cpvc depending on mods done.

17/32 brass is the best choice but also the most expensive. So, you move down to cpvc, if you use cpvc, a wise move would be to coupler it.You could use a straight cpvc coupler. Some cpvc couplers are angled from the middle to the outsides, some are just straight. On the plunger rod, use pipe cutters around the seam closer to the plunger tube. Next, dremel/cut out the the middle circle and sand down the prongs. (You can cut the cpvc coupler in half for this step to reduce dead space.) Lastly, goop in the coupler, then use epoxy putty on the outside to reinforce. If everything is done correctly, it will hold up for quite some time. Also, use up to a 5 inch barrel on a non extended nitefinder and a good foam fit. (assuming springs added, seal improved, etc...)

Don't bother, if you're shooting stock ammo just chamfer the edge. I use the serrated edge on my pocket knife to give a smooth curve, or a Dremel, or an X-acto. You want a tight-ish fit for springers, remember.

Although if you only plan on using stock darts you wont need a long barrel (unless you only use streamlines). It will only need to be as long as the darts themselves. Also if you do plan on using streamlines make sure to use a dart stop behind the barrel. It seems obvious, but I made a couple NF's before I realized I needed one.

It depends what condition your dart is in. If they are worn down - CPVC it. If they are new and in good shape - 17/32 brass is best.

Try to pick up the stuff that is NOT marked "Flow Guard Gold". FGG CPVC has a smaller ID. I usually have to buy non-FGG at Lowes.

FlowGuard Gold is a specification, not a brand. Geneva, Charlotte, and other manufacturers all make both. It's like the difference between buying red streak or blue streak copper pipe, just a slight difference in wall thickness.

Ohhhhhh ok. I also like the matte finish on the geneva pipe.

If it isn't obvious already, you should use CPVC. The stock barrel of the nite finder only has maybe an inch of actual barrel, the rest of the orange part you stick the dart has about the same effect on the dart as a the faux barrel of the raider, it's useless. Just experiment with CPVC and your NF, use hotglue if this is your first time modding so that you can redo the mod if you mess up.

I would actually recommend mcmaster petg over cpvc but I doubt you are comfortable with mcmaster judging by your post quality.

Short answer as stated numerous times is to attach a cpvc coupler to the plunger tube. To answer your question there is no "definitive answer" because this is all subjective.

CPVC is too tight. I mean, they'll fit, but just barely. 17/32 brass is your best bet, I'd say. Or maybe PETG, that's always good on a Nite Finder.
