After seeing SGNerf's clip mod for the barricade I wanted to convert my barricade to work with clips as well.

The only problem I noticed was the way in which the clip was held in place. SGnerf's technique works but I was concerned with larger clips like the raider drum.

So I realized I could fit a raider clip lock/release mechanism under the barricade. It took a little analysis.

But here is the final product.

It is held with two zipties in the front and 4 in the back. Extremely solid. Now the barricade can hold the clips in place and I can run around without worrying about the clip falling out.

And yes, it is fully operational.

Very nice the only problem I forsee is the process of obtaining an extra raider clip holder piece.

That's not too hard.
Step 1. buy a raider
Step 2. Take the clip holder peice out of the box
Step 3. You now have an extra clip holder piece!!

So the diffuculty is more in getting the money to buy the raider and what to do with the useless piece of plastic you have left over.

You could probably use any clip blaster's holder, although the raider's and maybe the deploy's would be easiest. So thrift stores or getting broken blasters would be a cheap alternative.

I like it.
More people need to pull the fake barrel out, it looks awesome without it.

I saw a picture somewhere where somebody used the clip holder from a recon stock. It was crazy clean looking.

Hey! Dude, that's sweet! Can we get videos of it firing? Great job, though, a clip-loaded barricade was an awesome idea.

Solscud007, are you the guy who put this on youtube? I saw the exact mod on there a few days ago. Great job by the way, it seems to be more robust than SGnerf's way.

Not to burst your bubble, but THIS was posted as a link on SGNerf's blog. I like the zip ties. The front reminds me of the gun from Dead Space, the one with the three blue targeting lasers.
