Hello this thread is meant for people to vent about flywheels whether they like them or hate them and explain why. Personally I hate them because 1) They are loud 2.) Most of the time blasters that use them have triggers that are awkward to pull back (that's my opinion) and 3 they are annoying when I'm modding. What do you think about flywheels. Leave a reply. Thanks

P.S. my least favorite flywheel blasters Tommy 20 manual and automatic, the new Nerf Barricade Rev-10, and I don't know if you can technically classify this as a flywheel blaster but this is my least favorite. The Buzzsaw

My opinion is that this is a waste of a thread. Who cares if you think they're loud and awkward and annoying? I don't. And anyone with half a brain can tell you that flywheel blasters are based on one thing: speed. They are meant to provide quick coverfire, and if you do the powerswitch relocation mod on the barricade, are the perfect definition of a sidearm: lots of shots all over the place, and at close range, that's not bad. I happen to love the Barricade, and at the time it was working, it was my short-range gun of choice.

If you aren't going to respect me then don't comment on my threads. Obviously you care enough to actually comment on my thread.

When did this turn into a respect war? And, I like flywheels for their capibility of makeing a gun semi-auto. I don't because of modding capibilities.

Meh, okay I'll bite...

Flywheel blasters are a lot of fun, and are fairly effective in stock wars. If you're just messing around with your friends, or if you are playing an indoor war during winter, they're great. It's good to see a variety finally entering the marketplace, after seeing the tommy20 dominate the space. They are toy guns, treat them as such.

Where they don't have a place is outdoor wars. I've seen them used, but they are clearly outclassed by modern homemades (HAMPS, pump-actions). And quite frankly, I think you would have a lot more fun with a modern homemade.

I suspect that these exact same opinions are shared by a multitude of people.

*ahem* You forgot Bruce Lee who *cough* beat the crap outta Chuck Norris *cough*

Now that my moment of derailing is over, back on topic. I think fly-wheels are good for sidearms but that's about it. They're kinda like a red headed step child, the need to know their place and stay there. There's my two cents worth thrown in the ring.

My favorite flywheel is definitely the Barricade. Why? Because semi-auto is way more badass than full. I also love my Tommy 20 that I got at a Goodwill for 50 cents.
