The 5th and the 26th are best. I could make the 12th, but I would have to leave early.

Any Saturday in February works for me, but the 5th might be a little difficult. I don't want to try to Nerf hungover after my birthday.

12th or 26th here... with some emphasis on the 26th, but I think I could make either one.

I'll talk to famine today, but I don't think I've any prior commitments for the end of February. I am potentially unavailable for the weekends of the 1st or 8th, but not both.....it's complicated.

Anyway, I can clear the 26th.

The 26th seems to work for Famine too. I'll try to get Bill roped in, but the date has little bearing on my ability to do that. I'll see if Death or Wave are interested, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

I'm a maybe. I recently found out that I'm going to be in NY a little longer (through April). As usual my schedule is very tentative and I won't know for sure if I can make it until later. I can do the 5th and 12th, but it looks like it's going to be the 26th, so I'll make the down payment, but I'm not a definite.

Nerf22 would like to confirm his attendance.

I will also be bringing 1-2 people along with my dad and I (guess I better get started on making darts, I have alot to make)

Current Roster, including maybes:

Talio
Mutton Chops
Ted
Langley
something about ice cream
BPSO
Koree
Red Shot
Red Shot's Dad
Ryan
Gears
VACC
Famine
Ash
Death
Wave
Ice
Nerf 22
Red Shot guest 1
Red Shot guest 2
Shandsgator
Lucian

If everyone listed were to show up (given, that's incredibly unlikely) we'd be up to 22 already. I think we may need to cap attendance (counting people who can confirm attendance) for this thing somewhere. The arena will only hold so many people comfortably. Go far past that capacity, and you just can't ever leave cover. Last year probably brought us close to the upper limit of funnability in terms of attendance.

Also, in response to Ryan's request and Red Shot's assertion of dartsmithing, is it safe to say we're gonna have standard dart restrictions here? With the lack of wind indoors I see no upside to heavy or domes darts.

Yeah, gun restrictions will be light. Slugs only, guns should shoot similar to plusbows and such. No homemade air guns or super powerful guns that weren't meant to shoot darts like super soakers. I think our group at this point has a pretty good idea of what's expected. If it shoots about as good as a plusbow you'll be fine. We did have a problem with one gun last year. I'm not sure what it was called but Bad Wrench had it and when it hit me it actually hurt. And I never bitch about shots hurting. If you have a weird gun you want to use just make sure you bring another because there's a good chance it will be banned. Bring pistols too, cause when we did those pistol rounds where we played side to side instead of end to end were alot of fun. I'd like to do that again. Anything else anyone can think of just speak up.

I seem to be the mediator between people that keep sending me emails of attendance here and Shandsgator8 would also like to confirm his attendance.

I was mostly wondering what game types will be played? I would not drive 24 hours to play five hours of deathmatch.

The venue doesn't give us a ton of options in terms of game types. I think we talked about a 3 or 4 round rotation after the last war, but we've yet to really discuss what the third or fourth rounds would be (after death match and perpendicular pistols). CTF is the obvious choice for the arena, but I've still yet to see a fun nerf variant of ctf. I guess we'll have to give it a go. We could also go all lazer tag and do a variant on dtc with each team having a base with a core inside.

That said, this is the east coast; expect copious amounts of death match.

I think the key here is to have a plan going in so we can really tear through these rounds and get as many as we can in before our time expires. If we choose the 3 or 4 game types we can stick with the same teams for each rotation (with tweaks between rounds if neccessary) and really elminate downtime. If we want we can even build side swaps in so each team gets to take turns playing each side of the arena. In that case I'd go with something like the following sequence:

- pick teams - DM/switch sides DM/Pistols/CTF/switch sides CTF - break -
- pick teams - DM/ switch sides DM/Pistols/DTC/ switch sides DTC - break -
- pick teams - DM/switch sides DM/Pistols/CTF/switch sides CTF - break -

and so on (though getting 15 rounds in would be pretty ridiculous in itself). We allow minimal water/bathroom breaks every other round, and we can really get some fuckign nerf in. If we let people wander back into the staging room, 20 minutes are forfeit.
